It is a super cool trail. I wish Killarney was closer to me. It is 400 kilometres away; a little too far to visit for just the weekend. Happy Friday, Phil! 😊✌🏼

Great trail! Some tricky parts and it rewards having a light pack for sure! I've never seen any bear scatt after a couple trips until I went exploring a little travelled part of Silver Peak and there was a huge bear scatt near a large blueberry patch. It seems they keep to the isolated parts. About the gps back there, I also had all trails show some wacky distances in the eastern part of the loop so I rely on the split distances in the Killarney official map. Every time I finish it I want to go right back!

My girlfriend and I did this in May (aka blackfly hell). It was my first time and her second. We did it in the opposite direction. It brought back so many memories. You captured a very recognizable spots. Some I forgot about. I'd like to thank you for showing me the part from 36 minutes in. We did that in the dark in the pouring rain. Weather was so bad we could only do 1km we hour max and we did 12km that day. Absolutely loved your video. Subscribed and can't wait the second part.

Hi Christina Welcome back 🇨🇦. Can't keep yourself off trail, eh! Home from your long exciting GR 5/52 journey, and right back on hiking. Very rugged. Magnificent views. Thank you for sharing all your amazing videos. Cheers "Hiking Nature's Beauty "

Very enjoyable video Christina. I have had to pause with internet for the past 2 weeks or so in order to get some things done with my home projects and some other misc. things. I am back now and I am trying to catch up with the videos that were produced while I was away. I need to catch up on about 5 of yours it looks like (a very nice problem to have though.) Anyway, this video was a great way to get me started. You never seem to get enough hiking in and you just keep going and going (even though you've just finished the long and difficult GR-5) My respect to you for certain. Thank you for doing what you're doing, you make some very enjoyable videos.

Hi Christina, Welcome back to Canada! Killarney is the crown jewel of Ontario IMHO. Looks like you found some decent sites. eg H32. These sites are good too: H19 and H33. H45 on Bunnyrabbit Lake is spetacular! Although the best camping sites in Killarney are only accessible by canoe. Have you ever visited Carmichael's rock on Grace Lake?

I see you use the nemo switchback pad, i borrowed one for my trip this past weekend and found it so uncomfortable! Definitely prefer my thermarest uberlite, but it has a leak im trying to repair. Would be interested in hearing your opinion on inflatable vs closed cell pads?
@Womaninthewoods13Ай бұрын
@@chantalnorris8598 Nemo Switchback pad? What’s that? Mine is from good ol’ Canadian Tire. I love it. No inflating, no deflating, inexpensive to buy, and no chance of puncture or of a gear fail. I spent the money on an expensive, Thermarest Neolite blah blah blah. It lasted about a year, got a slow leak, I filled the bathtub and dumped it in to find the slow leak, repaired it, and it still leaks. I’m done with inflatables. I love my simple foam pad and I’ll never go back!

Is bear spray advised? Maybe for a troublesome predatory animal that walks on two legs, but I always found Canadian black bears to be quite shy and tend to bolt. 🐻
