I am a low hp golfer and I use often draw and fade not only with the driver but also with other clubs.You teach the classic way to play a fade but there is a much simpler way to do it ( at least it works for me ).At set up use a very weak grip then you slightly ( not excessive ! ) open the club face so it aims at the right of your target.The ball will fly slightly right from the beginning.On the classic method the ball will start to fly straight and then it turns right but the result more or less is the same

Slightly disagree with the left hand wrist position at impact. You can still hit down and release with a strong left hand grip.

I have a question about using the club to measure the launch angle of the ball, by standing on the club-face, like you demonstrate at 7:40. You mention this is OK in a private round, so are you saying it isn't allowed during a competition? If it is not OK for the player to do it, I think it might be OK for a caddy to do it, because I first saw this done in a pro tournament where the caddy tested the launch angle just like that. I've done it myself a couple of times in club competitions, but didn't realise it wasn't allowed.
@martina_eberl_coaching_en
@martina_eberl_coaching_en 13 күн бұрын
Well I don't think that even a caddy could do it. But maybe I am wrong. But as a player you surely cant do it.... Its like a tool which could help on course, like if you would lay the club along your feet to line them up. Also not allowed...

Thanks for your expert insights! Looking forward to trying out an AI Smoke driver. It's refreshing to see some playing tips that will reduce scores. Most golf instruction seems to focus on technical swing mechanics which is great for the driving range, but not so good to think about when actually playing the game (I believe too many swing thoughts are a recipe for a bad score).

This is a GREAT lesson. But I have 2 comments. First, I was always taught not to SWAY. So I learned how to turn instead. This coaching talks about tilting the hips. It might be confused with swaying, but it’s not! Also, I was wondering if you could film the leg/hips part from behind you. It would be easier to see exactly what you’re taking about! Maybe others would appreciate that as well. Thanks for your great lessons!

Most of what you say is true. And you are right, clubface is king. But so is keeping that clubface PERPENDICULAR to the SINGLE PLANE THAT THE TILTED SHAFT IS MOVING ON. This is what brings "the king" back to square at impact every time. People see arc rotation relative to the target and unknowingly tweak it thus destroying PERPENDICULARITY to the tilted shaft swing plane. And as you correctly point out most of the rotation is at the impact to follow-through positions. They do not go under but rather around thus destroying their constancy. Some coaches recommend practicing with a long putter because with the left arm going at the hole it is easy to LOCK OUT the CC rotation through the ball. An actual touring pro showed me that. He practices with a long putter one hour a day. He is getting rid of rotation on "the king". Tiger's right hand only drill does the same thing plus it introduces a nice release. A free floating club has little propensity to twist and removes built up timing issues. You START OUT making 6 foot putts the next day when you resume practicing.
