Easy and common to loose bigger fish there, as they dive deep around coral and shell fish growth, sharp as razor blades!! WTF 😂😂 😅😅 using 100lb nylon leader or wire can help 🤔, I lived in Port Douglas up the road 60klms and fished jetty there alot , saw guy hook 2 to 3 metre tiger shark which wrapped around the channel buoy chain ⛓️, snap gone!! Metre barracuda, big finger mark, school of 20 kilo barramundi live in the area 😀 ❤❤ cheers 🍻 from Byron Bay 😊

Was there in 2003, some seriously fullon jetty fishermen wow, guy's with trolleys, 8 rods,cooler,long gaffs and nets, built in stereo, powered ,lighting the fffing works best I've ever seen 😳 and they often get big 20 pounder quality fish 🐟!! 😂WTF amazing beautiful place, 😍 I put deposit on land nearby, but then wife diagnosed with cancer, RIP Lynnette 🙏 ❤❤❤❤😊

A tip for you , get some lip grips , makes handling fish so much easier , the waters edge remember your still in croc territory even on the esplanade , you won’t see me next to the waters edge bud , any way good fishing session and very nice Barra.👍
