this is a more than 10 year old game dude. the code is so imbedded in the game at this point that going back and changing it all at once would take way too long and cost way too much money for it to be a viable option. if the slow pace of changes and fixes bothers you go play something else.

If Final Fantasy is this bad, why not try World of Warcraft? There is an exact menu to tell you if you own a mog or not the instant you see the drop. There are millions of addons to make the game exactly the way you like it and it's not MASSIVELY RESTRICTED like in FF. Oh and Player Housing will finally be added after 20 years.

The UI system in this game can be EXTREMELY obtuse! Technically pretty much everything works, but for a new player trying to figure it all out, it can be a labyrinthy maze of confusion and frustration. Needs a massive rework... Desperately!!

Idk why we got to pay for the second saddlebag. I got it once and has some gathering stuff in it, sub ran out for it so I forever have to see all the produce I have that is now locked in that side of the bag 😂

My biggest issue is the glam system, the whole playerbase agrees there. Next would be limited time rewards, like pvp rewards that are ungettable, some minions that are only gettable from preorders you cant get anymore. Next would be savage gear loot system, like every player should have personal loot and get prizes. Like I recently got into savage raiding and have spent weeks of grind in pf learning and clearing fights hoping to win loot. Like I went through the entire raid teir completeing all four fights hoping to get the mount and or weapon, and didnt win them, so I have to do all of them again next week and hope I get luckier.

What would I change? I would just copy the entire transmog and warband systems from World of Warcraft. Either of these would make XIV so much more enjoyable to play. Just like you mentioned, the glam system would be just based on if you got the item once, you have it forever in your glam options, exactly like WoW. Doing the same with mounts and minions and so on would be likewise the same as copying WoW, but doing so would make this game better for players who don't want a single character only. Oh yeah, and also I'd put more money into actually improving the game instead of what Squenix does with it. They don't care at all and it shows how much this game is declining despite having promise in DT.

Y'all will probably trash me for this but the thing I hate the most is when you are in one of those solo duties and you miss some stupid little mechanic at the end that fails the duty. I don't care so much about just failing a duty what I HATE is they start you back over like 30 minutes ago and you have to through a dozen cut scenes and fights just to get another look at the thing that failed you. And the tell ends up being some NPC commenting in chat that they see a pretty green rock and you have to just know that to kill the mega boss you must touch the little green rock three times. WHY can't you just start over at the beginning of that fight not a 1/2 hour ago.

Good reason to start playing on controller. Preferably on a big TV.

Leveling up alt jobs is what I hate most about FF14. In wow and swtor, for example, dungeons scale up to players level. If a level 40 wow player does a random dungeon and ends up in a level 17 dungeon, then the mobs there will be level 40 mobs. They will give level 40 xp and they will drop level 40 loot. However, in FF14 the level 40 player scales down to level 17. His abilities are reduced to level 17 abilities. The mobs are level 17, as it the loot and xp. In FF14, you must therefore do the highest dungeon that you have access to, over and over again, until you unlock another dungeon, which you then do over and over again. It takes way too long time and it is extremely boring.

My dude I hate to say it, but you absolutely have to stop sitting straight up for at least a couple weeks, get your legs elevated, and a couple times a day use an inversion table. Sitting down when recovering from disc or sciatic nerve problems is no bueno. Wish you a quick recovery, lower back pain and sciatica is an absolute MF

Yeah... if yu just care about yourself. Changing the first thing needs to write a mojroity of the game code new from scratch. Take severeal years and cost mmillions and monthly fee will be 50+ $/€ etc month. Worth it? No! So they will never do it until they end FFXIV and made a new MMORPG like FFXXV or so.

On your takes besides the Blue Quests these would be good improvements, but you're overselling the scope of how many more players it would bring, compared to the new players already hooked on the wealth of the game's content and narrative. And saying it takes years for new players to catch up is on the scale of hyperbolic.

I think the changes you suggest are good for someone who want to play the combat elements exclusively. As someone who enjoys the stories, I would be sad to find out that I already played through alexander and had no fights to give context for what I'm fighting in the story. Auto skips would be unfortunate... I will say though, you say there are issues catching up, but most content doesnt require past content. I think bozja requires stuff, but idk about much else.

For glamor, I think there is a little dresser picture int he corner that highlights if you have it. Otherwise you cna search for item. The reason why you probably cant have unlimited glamour items because you can store a dyed item as a glamour. If I dye a piece with a REALLY expensive dye, then its useful for not having to reapply it. If we place it in a glamour plate and want to dye over it, then you can do so if you dont want the pre-dyed color you inserted it with.

This game has so much amazing UI customization and QoL and yet the shop, inventory, retainer menus and such are prehistoric nonsense XD and your inventory confused me for a moment, I have all 4 bags merged. Not even sure what that 3rd tab is atm.

I’m really glad you said at the end this was kind of a joke video lol. Literally nothing mentioned is really all that bad. Sure some improvements could be made especially for quality of life but I know some people personally that literally get enraged like this over some stuff in the game. Like why continue paying to play if you don’t like it or it stresses you out that much? If a video game is your biggest cause of stress then I’m jealous of your life haha.

Unfortunately, most these can be explained by the fact that 1.0 was a total dumpster fire and its issues are still messing with the game. Like how The Glamour Dresser is such a mess that every time they even try to change it the game's code implodes on itself. And even after 10 years they still don't know *why* . And ,yeah, I do agree that the Blue Quests needed to unlock features and even content (dungeons, raids etc) should be integrated a little more seamlessly into how you explore. You should NOT have to look up guides just to understand how to unlock or even progress content that's several expansions old.

mostly what you say i agreed, but is not true about new players, theres always tons of them.

I only started playing 6 days ago, so I didn't get to "unlocking raids" part of things, but new player experience is really not so great, to say the least. It's good that they give you these pop-up windows with a description of the new ting you've just unlocked, but I genuinely forget about it after like 5-10 minutes because you're unlocking the other new thing and they teach you how to use it again. If I could change two things, I think I'd move like at least 50% of these "new unlockable mechanics" for when you reach at least lvl 50. I mean, you open housing system at level 5, why? Just to look inside another player's houses? Well, cool, you can have a cup of tea with someone at their house I guess? Or, some job's gauges. Lvl 30 paladin gauge just shows if your Iron Will is active or nor, why? Just so the player will have more time to get used to having that thing on the screen before it becomes actually usefull? Just smash it together with the "extended" or whatever it's called version you open on a higher level. The second thing I'd change is market and especially the fact that you can't buy just one thing you need to craft a pie out of 9999 the person is selling. Who even buys stacks of 99 for a shit ton of money when it comes to low level materials? P.S.: Never seen your videos before, it just slipped into my recomendations and I was curious if you mention something I don't like, but if I get it correctly, you talked about more end-game stuff, so I guess we'll see later haha.
