I remember when I used to identify with this song. I really don't anymore, because I can't identify with the banal suffering of a modern malaise sick of its own infatuation with pain and self destruction.

This is such a masterpiece. For me to be so addicted to this as a child who grasped nothing of what the lyrics meant and to now realize what they mean it's just truly incredible from an artist standpoint. Green Day is the GOAT punk rock band and it's not debatable. fight me.

I have been clean since 2017. And I had a relapse in 2021 on heroin and then fentanyl. But this song has completely saved my life and I listened to it every day.
