Which genius thought that adding classical music to this documentary would improve it. Totally distracting and stupid. Switched off.

Why are you playing two songs at the same time? This cant be legit.

This video keeps it simple, and keeps it real. Math is about counting, and quantifying. And that's it.

Euclidean geometry was the first thing I learned in school that totally excited me, amazed me, elicited reverence and passion. I am old now. I have returned to studying maths after a life spent in their absence. I am once again excited and amazed.

The Library of Alexandria was not destroyed by the Muslims. I can't believe they would get this fact so wrong. It was destroyed long before the Muslims took over Egypt by Christian rulers. Christian rulers murdered hypatia and burned the library. The Muslims had nothing to do with it

BS again, some islamic country paid for it?? India taught both greeks and arab world, mathematics, medicine and philosophy. In philosophy no civilization, till date, not even west with so much science/engineering, could reach what India accomplished 3000 years ago. Primarily because you need a higher level of intellect/integrity to reach level of Upanishads, beyond Greeks, beyond Europe/America. This guy bluffed/lied ISlamic empire actually destroyed science/knowledge in middle east (which flourished because of trade with India), it is just that the decaying/vanquished Persian civilization was still doing some good enough work even after conversion to ISlam, again thanks to Indians (whom Arabs were now destroying but at the same time through Arabs, the Persian neo-converts were studying/translating and sometimes adding a little bit). Once Persia was completely degraded whole empire was back to -1.

And Indians were always capable of doing the most abstract mathematics, they produced Srinivas Ramanujan also, so whole decimal number system (number systems created by Indians are much bigger revolution than invention of wheel & guess what million times more impossible happening that they achieved, after that things are much easier), So Bhaskara, PAnini, Upanishads, Madhavan, Srinivas Ramanujan are like miracles, Upanishads are probably the greatest MIRACLE in human thought ever happened.. all GReek/Western philosophy in front of them is that of infants..
