Hi, I love your content. I recently bought these shoes because I really liked how they felt when I tried them on in the store. However, after wearing them for a while, I've experienced heel fatigue and a strange pain in the arch of my foot. It seems the inner part of the midsole has a very pronounced arch that is causing discomfort. I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this and could share their feedback, or if it might just be an issue specific to me. Thanks.

Good practical review. I happened to find same colorway at a great price, also. Agree with all of your main points. I tend to do well with wide-soled, stable stuff and agree that this has good platform and 'geometry' for my stability needs. Coming from the v3, I wasn't so sure about the (v4) softer gap-heel. Early days, but it doesn't seem like a huge negative, thus far.
@KyleMcCueRunning3 ай бұрын
Really appreciate the comment and insight of your experience so far. Let me know how you get on with it 👍🏻
@q20a082 ай бұрын
@@KyleMcCueRunning Well, unfortunately the pendulum quickly swung back into negative territory on the softer gap-heel, for me. Some unpleasant, and unfamiliar achilles irritation. In fairness to NB, I was getting a surprising level of "stability" satisfaction out of the firmer v3. The targeted neutral squish-lover, really isn't me. Bummed, because I don't know what might work next. Possibly 'Kayano 30' , but gotta hate the expensive trials that often fail.

Would you go up half a size for an orthotic? Its pretty thin and meant for running shoes, just the arch I’m worried about
@KyleMcCueRunning3 ай бұрын
So I have actually worn these casually with the low arch running superfeet insert and think they feel fine. Could be a bit tight but the upper is pretty stretchy in the forefoot so overall I think you could get away with it.

Great shoe! Picked up the More v4 yesterday. Unfortunately, the 4E (extra wide) version is still $150 :( I regularly see D/regular wide on sale when a new model comes out but the discount hardly ever applies to the wider versions. Sadly seems like Asics is the only brands that regularly discounts the extra wide versions when the next iteration comes out.
@q20a083 ай бұрын
I feel your pain on that. I got lucky on some v3 4Es, due to perfect timing at a brick & mortar place, but I would have done better in a slightly longer length if THAT had also been available. I had one salesperson tell me he didn't think the v4 was available in 4E, at all. If something is on the scarce side, tougher to find a good bargain.

Question…. I am a new runner, however, I had back surgery last year. Do you think there is enough difference between the Novablast 4 and the Nimbus 25 to have both of these shoes? I love running in the NB4 but sometimes I wish I had a bit more cushion as I can really feel the impact even with the cushion in the NB4.
@KyleMcCueRunning4 ай бұрын
hmmm, that's a tough one. I'd say if you can find the nimbus 25's on sale it might be worth it to have a second pair to rotate. If anything it will make your Novablasts last a lot longer. You might also want to look for a pair of novablast 3's on sale in your size (if you can find them). They were such an awesome shoe and might not break the bank as much. Sorry to hear about your back, take it easy and one mile at a time.

Would like to know what you thought of the Maurten and BPN Go Gels. Those are the only two I have tried so far. I will have to try the Unived gels. I have only tried LMNT for electrolytes so far and have thought about giving the BPN G1M a go. Where I live has a limited about of options for gels and drink mixes to try by buying a single pack or two in stores and I hate the idea of buying a whole box to absolutely hate it.
@KyleMcCueRunning5 ай бұрын
Personally didn’t love maurtens, the jello texture and flavor just wasn’t enjoyable for me. BPN GoGels had a great consistency but the apple cinnamon one I tried was like almost “spicy” (so that scared me away). I also drink LMNT, but i literally sip on one packet over 4-5 days. I just don’t feel like I need that much sodium. I like nuun tablets, less aggressive tasting than LMNT. And I totally hear ya on ordering in bulk online is a risk. I’m working through a Caf box of Unived gels that I don’t “love” but it’s mainly flavor. Next time I’ll try and new one.

@@KyleMcCueRunning I HATED Maurten at first because I was not expecting the jello like consistency, but not I know its there I don't mind it...didn't really have a flavor. @KyleMcCueRunning6 ай бұрын
My 800 repeats is based on my “goal half marathon pace.” So I’m doing repeats timed at 3:30’s because my goal pace is 7min/mile. I do not recommend doing 8x800’s all out, which is what I think you are saying.
