Props to you for getting it done! Running in those temps is tough! I attempted some threshold stuff a couple days ago, and my Cloudmonsters felt like wooden clogs. I got through it, but in different shoes.

There's a lap button on my Garmin 135. You turn it on and off in Activity (Run outdoor) > Options > Laps > Lap key. Not sure that is what you're looking for but it starts a new lap. Lap pace then doesn't really work, but I think you get a new timer. I'm doing mile laps, run .37 then 1K to the end of the mile. The .37 becomes my little bit more than the 1/4 recovery. Asheville, March 16 baby!

Ahhh, I’ve found a way to use laps on the timer but your way does seem easier. I just have to remember to consider the recover but as a lap as well (I could see myself missing one). But if I built the habit I should be fine. THANKS! I will try it next time at the track. Also good luck in Asheville!
