Well done, Martin. I heard you singing/chanting a couple of slogans (I was slightly further forward in the march on the left hand side) but the crowd wasn't the loud, chanting type!!!! Very peaceful - perhaps even too meek for their own good. This shows the difference between the aggressive pro p marches and the peaceful, civilised march by those supporting Jewish people and Israel.

Maa ka bUr(mom's meow) 3. Randi ka bachha(sex workers' kid, altho it shouldn't be a curse word bc sex work is real work). 4. Tere Bur ka baal(your pubic hair xD) Absolutely despise these scammers yuck.

I think Brian struck a chord with people because his story is one of triumph and tragedy that went beyond his rock star status. He had it all, the looks, the stage presence, the voice, but his life was destined to be a struggle against the odds from his very birth (abandoned by his teenage mum as a baby in Glasgow) and he carried the scars even when he was on top of the world, which eventually caught up with him again. And unlike contemporaries from his time in a similar situation, he carried it all inside, without inflicting harm on anyone around him.

At the end of the "Recent" documentary. It said Dorothy ( wife of Phil. Solomon) was too ill to be interviewed. I'm guessing she's about 90ish now. This wasn't the first Documentary about Lena. There was one made in 2000 that interviewed the Couple she lived with in the last few years of her life.

We’re all searching for something. Happiness? Meaning? A place/time to reflect or recharge the batteries? Find a place where you feel comfortable and capable of doing those things and stay. Until you finish. Then try something different. Don’t worry about what other people think. Least of all family members you may or may not feel you need to prove something to. It’s often not worth it. Good luck!

I thank you dearly for your kind comments. I believe the longer I stay in London, I will still be able to venture around the world and build up my tally of nations. I'm not aiming for 197 but 165 to match up with a South African Lady tally. Nov 26 I'll probably have 2 weeks in Oceania. Maybe pick up another nation in the Pacific. I can only live in 4 countries in the world: Australia, New Zealand, Ireland and the UK. If I ever become Jewish I could make Aliyah to Israel. The door is always open, but I never move to Dublin because Rent costs more than in London.

@MartintheMetalheadАй бұрын
I still haven’t found out what happened to her mothers remains. Must have been cremated and scattered in Scotland. Someone was recently buried next to Lena but it can’t be family related because her father and sister are still with us.
@theresamacarty5507Ай бұрын
I believe she was buried there because her dad lived there by then. He may have wanted her close to him after the years of separation during her childhood. What a massive loss to the world this little Scottish girl is. I followed her from the beginning, were the same age. The recent documentary made me cry bucket loads!

@MartintheMetalheadАй бұрын
I do remember her father lived nearby. She was residing in Cockfosters when her mother passed. You are very lucky to have seen Lena in town. I assume she was living a very sheltered life away from the media at the time. As her last performance was 1993.
@AnnaErettaАй бұрын
I’m not very sure when her last performance was, but we are the same age and as a young child I always wanted to be her obviously growing up in the 70s When she passed away, I went to her funeral and I saw that other singer Bonnie Langford And Lena at the time was living in Tower Heights Hoddesdon And I often bumped into her up the town. I have to say it was not the Lena of before she was quite slim. And you could tell it was her by her eyes She was always pleasant and had time for everyone, but very, very reserved I go to the cemetery often to see my mum and obviously she is only a few steps away so I pop along and say my hellos I hope she’s at peace now and thank you for sharing your videos as brought me myself back in time ❤❤

I did pay a visit to Southall some years ago for another video. According to Wikipedia: Peach was taken into a nearby house-71 Orchard Avenue-after one of the residents saw him being hit. He was given a glass of water, but could not hold it. His eyes were rolled up to the top of his head and he had difficulty speaking. The residents soon called an ambulance, which was logged at 8:12 pm; it arrived within ten minutes, and Peach was taken to Ealing Hospital. He was promptly operated on because of a large extradural haematoma but his condition worsened through the procedure. He died at 12:10 am on 24 April. Those 6 officers in the SPG did get uncovered years later. But what bugs me is the police continued to stalk spy and harass Blairs comon-in-law Partner Celia Stubbs for over 20 years!

Per your suspicions, I don't think that's actually the one. The one you took a video of is a lot smaller the pillars aren't the same, and the door doesn't have the Iconic eye in the center. the sin after sin mausoleum is further up the cemetery next to the crematorium, and contains the remains of one Alexander Gordon of the British Army. I visited a few months ago and it looks beautiful
