Thanks so much for this video. It explains so well what under processing hair color looks like on gray hair. My gray looked exactly like the second image with the weird brown color around the new growth of gray hair. I couldn't figure out what the stylist did. I'll send her this link for next time. :)

What size were the red rollers? What did you spray on her hair at the end?

Hey Veronica! Thank you for watching. The red rollers are 1.25 inch. The spray at the end was a natural hold hair spray. Hope that helps.

Do you use HENNA to cover gray hair. The TWO STEPS ENSURE that the gray hair is color, and, it is as NATURAL a hair color can be

Thank you for commenting. I actually don't use henna and most stylists run from it. It's a chore to get out of the hair if you ever want a different color. And you're right, it is natural. If it weren't for that, I'm sure more would use it. If you use it, you should post videos about it. I would love to see it.

I would like more info about coloring locs. I have locs like u and enjoy keeping my gray roots touched up. I usually use a 7N or 8N and love the outcome

The one used in this video and my favorite is the Dudley Hair & Scalp antiseptic. Hope this helps.

Do not ever spray your hair with rubbing alcohol will make your hair completely dry and scalp even more dandruff horrible for ur hair

Hey! Thanks for the comment and I completely agree with you, which is why I’m not using rubbing alcohol. I’m using a scalp antiseptic and it works wonders! I’ve been using it for years on clients with no complaints. Hope that clears things up.

It’s HARD to find a great stylist! Particularly one who doesn’t rush and knows what they are doing. With that being said I’d rather do the color myself. I have been doing henna for the past 5 months and I cannot take the process anymore. You said you used the CHI Shine line? I just want to cover the gray and not die from the chemicals!! Can I send you pics of my hair?

Hey Smack NYC! I totally understand how you feel. Keeping your color is a true process. Yes it was Chi Shine Shades, However depending on your color you may be a candidate for a Demi permanent hair color. Seeing your hair would be more helpful.

Hey Dolly! Thank you for the comment! And you’re right, If the products you are using don’t have built-in thermal protection, you should definitely use an additional protectant. Thankfully, the line I use has takes care of that for me.
