That’s a nice layout. Just wondering. Could you not expand your track to have that one turn go around the back of your grandstand? By the way, thanks for subscribing to my channel as well.
@perreyalsdam7994Ай бұрын
Thank You. I could alter the layout with extending the back straight and shorten the mid straight and thus have the turn go around the grandstands. But then I would have to consecutive long strights. This is by no means a permanent layout so i vary every time I set it up. I think I could fit another R1 chicane after the R2 curve complex.

Very nice! What controller are you using for the train, lights and for the switches?
@perreyalsdam7994Ай бұрын
The setup is two circuit, each circuit powered by a märklin mini club power supplier( 67 014) for running the trains. For switches and light signals I use an old 66 471 power supply. I have recently installed some light in my houses. Here I have gone for Woodland Scenics, just plug system. A bit expensive but easy to install.

Great but you need to put something under the track to reduce the noise.
@perreyalsdam7994Ай бұрын
I agree. I just put it up for running. I'm thinking of disassemble it all. To do a better job on cabling undercoating and flocking. Do You have any suggestion for underlay to use. For example the thickness of the underlay and where to buy it?

I'm just having fun. The layout is a premade layout from noch. Try this link www.noch.com/media/53/90/68/1666170138/rs_2960_59880_Cortina_2017.pdf. Nice, but toooooooo small for me. 1/87 is the way to go, if ya have room that is!
@perreyalsdam79942 жыл бұрын
I do agree. 1/87 is a great scale, but when I rig my 1/87 stuff i takes up all the space I have in my living room. I set it up, get all the signals and turnouts to work, run my trains and then its time to pack it down again. No time for modelling. I'm thinking of doing some module based boards, Fremo type style, but I lack storing space for that as well so it resolves to nothing. The z-scale is on the other hand permanent, and i glue together some houses from time to time, but progress is slow. I'm probably more into running trains than modelling.
