When will Santa Cruz make an affordable bike? They are just not competitive spec to price with literally any other manufacturer.

It may not show in this video, but I did not see any torque wrenches used to tighten any fastener on this built. Btw I thought these bikes are pre-built from the factory and shops just unbox them and do the final assembly. Please correct me if I am wrong.
@mikesbikes8 күн бұрын
This colorway is only sold as a frame, so no, it wasn't preassembled from the factory. The bike was built from the frame up. Also, take it easy, Torque Wizard-this is a marketing video, not a mechanic masterclass😎

@@mikesbikes Thank you for the clarification. I thought so about the marketing video not representing a real built, but nowhere during the video that was mentioned. I am an engineer, so what I see is what it is....

I have my eyes on this one and wanted to get your advice on sizing. I am 5,8" with 32" inner leg length, normal upper body type, it is right in the upper limit of a 51cm and lower of the 54cm from chart. Which size would you recommend ?

Gazelle frames are manufactured and assembled in the Netherlands, while Bosch motors are built in Hungary and shipped to their OEMs for assembly.

He is a liar! Customer support is almost non existent and the local bike shops don’t have the knowledge to repair them. You will also lose 75% of the bicycle when you sell it because it’s double the price of comparable e-bikes. DON’T GET SCAMMED
@mikesbikesАй бұрын
Ah yes, because Bosch and Gazelle clearly spent decades building a global reputation just to completely have no dealer support-makes total sense. Bosch is one of the most well-known and respected brands in the e-bike industry, but sure, tell us more about the stellar customer service you got with that bargain-bin e-bike from Amazon. Best of luck when it needs repairs... maybe try a KZbin tutorial and some duct tape?

Hi. I’m just under 5ft8 inches. Medium or large HT!? In your opinion? Normally ride a medium Firebird, but SC guide has me right between sizes….
@mikesbikesАй бұрын
The larger frame will likely offer more stability and room to move without disrupting the bike’s weight balance. It will also place the front wheel further out in front, which can boost your sense of security but may require more effort to shift the bike’s weight dynamically. On the other hand, a Medium would feel more agile and responsive but might lack the same high-speed stability. Think about your riding style-do you prefer a playful, intuitive feel, or are you chasing stability and speed?

Love GT. Sad to see them go. Best of luck selling off the rest of the inventory as I wouldnt want a bike with no manufacture standing behind it when the brand is “paused”. I seen this before. Sell off all inventory, the intellectual property. Hopefully a future buyer that cares about the GT legacy steps in. Doubt it. Good luck fellas!

It’s a great all round bike, I bought the frame and built it myself, Cervelo frame sizes do run a bit big, got a 51, but I could have fitted on a 48 size frame. I’m 5’5 and running 160mm cranks.

Hi, how would you compare the vala vs the bullit ?
@mikesbikes2 ай бұрын
The biggest difference is the travel and geometry. The Bullit is a "bigger" bike, more travel and more aggressive geometry for enduro style riding. The Vala is the replacement for the Heckler so more of an all around trail bike.
