oooh wow.. I only got 7 points in this quiz, cause I knew some songs but couldn't name the artist or title LOL. That was tricky. 40/75 some could do with a few seconds longer just to ingage my brain though. Or 3 runs throughs as when you gave the answer we were kicking ourselves 😂

@johudson1991 it certainly does get the brain going! I always try to make the clips as long as possible, but on a few they end up being a tad shorter to make them 'fit'. It's certainly something I'll try to focus on if I make a part 2 though 😀

This is the first time I’ve commented and I’ve a couple of things to say. First of all, my wife and I LOVE your quizzes. You’re one of our favourite channels and far and away our favourite music quiz channel. For demographic context: we live in Canada and are in our 50s and 60s but love music from across the years so generally do pretty well. Secondly: this quiz blew us away. It was absolutely excellent and we loved it. The attention to detail of blending songs on a common word was amazing. I hope you do this style again and also please keep experimenting with your quizzes. Cheers!

It really is great understanding where people are watching from as I feel like I can try to include songs and quiz features from that area more. Absolutely loved it! Especially the last one. Loved how you used the lyrics of one song to lead to the next and was very pleased to hear some older stuff and not just stuff from after 2000 (when music really went downhill!) Thanks - looking forward to more of these!

That was a lot of fun! Please continue to experiment - other commenters seem to agree too. Disappointed I didn't get all five on any of them but got at least two and four a few times. I'm on a trip tomorrow so look out for a double bill (same band) of album recommendations next week!

@@SHQuiz You're spot on - I think I've mentioned before that I like to learn from quizzes so if I get 100% every time it becomes boring very quickly. Same applies to 0% so balance is important like you say. Also, I've noticed the others' have mentioned the effort you obviously put in which I never acknowledge so thumbs up for that mate. 👍 Yes, double pressure. Bit of a gamble too (you'll see why)

Ooh, loved this! Glad you put them up twice, definitely helped! Forgot to score but we did pretty well (ish) This must've taken ages to put together but it was definitely a lot of fun! doing ok until Medley 4. didnt get wkend or hozier. 5th Medley didn;t get shakira, or yes. 7th one didnt get Yeah yeahs Medley 10 didn;'t get Mariah or Bob. Medley 16 I didnt get Dean Martin.. Great one though.

Another experimental quiz, and I'm super keen to hear your thoughts as I like trying out these new formats. In my limited testing beforehand, it seemed one play through wasn't enough, and many artists were easily missed, but I appreciate that it's probably frustrating if you got all 5 on the first listen !

Double play was definitely the way to go. There was a number of them I only heard four on the first listen so a lot of pausing/rewinding would've happened. I also wish I'd read your "listen on 1st then guess on 2nd" recommendation before playing the quiz.

If you havent done it already it might a good idea to do a places in song titles quiz. It can be songs with cities, countries, etc in the song title.

I got 390 points. These are getting harder but I love that you're using so many suggestions from the comments. Some other good songs that I dont believe you've done yet are Sweet Baby James by James Taylor, San Luis by Gregory Alan Isakov, Julia by The Beatles, Weep for Jamie by Peter, Paul, and Mary, Heather by Conan Gray, Oliver James by Fleet Foxes, Juliet by Cavetown, Brandy (You're a Fine Girl) by Looking Glass, and Song to Woody by Bob Dylan.

Thought I was going to do alright when I got the first two. Went downhill, steeply, from there!! By the way, London Calling is an excellent album. Not one of my top recommendations but well worth a listen. The White Stripes' live version of Jolene is comfortably my favourite. Fun fact: Elvis Presley's management approached Dolly Parton with a view to Elvis recording Jolene but Dolly told them to p!ss off when they demanded 50% of all royalties.

I think I've already mentioned Hats Off to (Roy) Harper and Boogie with Stu by Led Zep. From Bowie there's John I'm only dancing, Jean Genie and Julie. Tom Sawyer is, I think, the only Rush song with a name in the title.
