You guys should take a water bus to Thu Thiem City. The water bus station is by Nguyen Hue Street. It take about 10 mins ride and the ticket is about 2 dollars each. The water bus ride is very beautiful and when you get there you can look at the city from Thu thiem. 😊

Suối Tiên is a big park, we can have a full day picnic there. And there is the combo ticket include all the activitives (buy it for more eco 😁). It closes at 17h30 at weekday, 18h at weekend and 18h30 at holiday (such as Tết).

In 3-4yrs would be a good time to return as the new Long Thanh airport. the second metro line and the Notre Dame should all open. But the gov plans to build 7 lines metro with 355Km long in the next 10yrs, everything will speed up to avoid the delayed from this Ben Thanh line. Hope they keep their promise. Thao Dien is the expats area, that's why all the shops are foreign owned or catered to foreign expats.

Less quatity of carriage compare to metro in Hanoi, but station is better!

Just to correct you, the SM Aura, Bonifacio High Street and The Venice Grand Mall is not in located in Manila, Manila the capital is a bit far from that location. That city is called Taguig and instead of Manila the proper way to call it either Metro Manila because it is comprised of cluster of 16 cities including Manila the capital or you say National Capital Region or NCR for short. Enjoy your stay here! 😉 About the Christmas decorations, since the Philippines is the 3rd largest Christian nation, how we celebrate Christmas is different from the rest of the world and for us it is the most important holiday of all because Christ was born in December 25 which is Christmas. We start to celebrate and put up our decoration once "ber" month comes meaning starting in September and the Christmas celebration is until January on 3 Kings commemoration. 😁

The weather has been fantastic , Sunny in the day and cool at night and the Tet atmosphere is so heart warming.
