So happy we got a scooter! But honestly driving in Bali is crazy! The traffic can get really heavy and you end up driving on sidewalks and super close to other bikes and cars! Would you get a scooter?

About three decades ago, there was an exchange student from United States that really love Indonesian food, but he said it was tropical fruits that really get him hooked. He loved cempedak, almost similar to jack fruit but it has buttery sweet tasted and soft textures. When it ripe, the smell is almost as strong as durian and the color is golden. Maybe you can find cempedak in any fruit market in Bali if you want to try one.

You guys can also find cempedak in Malaysia. In Malaysia, cempedak is more popular deep fried with batter and alongside with fried banana, fried sweet potato, fried tapioca, sold by the road side.

@abbyandlogantravel Yes, I think I remember watching you guys did try the fried cempedak in Chinatown KL. The roasted chesnut and apam balik (peanut pancake similar to murtabak in Indonesia) are among the other street food foreign tourists like to try at Petaling Street. Wonderful. 😀
