waait, I'm dumb but fascinated, why is the fire put out @9:16 ? Attempting myself with information you provided in video: Because the generated force via current pulls electrons from air molecules? surely any metal would be electrocuted in the presence, right? Rendering application as fire extinguishing system improbable? If not though, is that a thing? could it be a thing? Idea of walls denying fire with electricity when detected could really help in cases of easily flammable surroundings or valuable containment, like homes.
@cooltherapy6 күн бұрын
That's an interesting observation and idea. I mainly did that to show the ionic wind. But it could be that the plasma also contains elements that would help extinguish a fire, not sure. Note that fire can burn in ozone though.

Someone extremely respected within the field took one look at the manuscript and dated it (accurately, pre carbon dating) via the humanist style writing which in his opinion could only be from the proposed time, and from Italy. He stated then that it spent time in France after and this is where the month names were added. It makes you wonder how much we might know if knowledgeable people paid real interest. He knew this info from briefly flicking through the pages and no prior knowledge.

Watching your guava experiment is very interesting. I read articles published in India about germination rates in different mediums too. Recently i had a guava fruit from Bangladesh whilst on holiday there. I kept the seeds wrapped in moist tissue for a few days and when i got back to the UK planted them. I did not allow the seeds to dry out, as i believe they will lose their viability. Just checked today and a few have germinated. Also the fruit they are harvested from i find the seeds germinate better from overripe fruit.

@@cooltherapy I have been growing a Tropical Pink Guava, since May 2022. For the past two years, it has overwintered in my conservatory but faced challenges like insect infestations, inconsistent watering, possible root rot, and dieback. This winter, I’m trying something different. I have been overwintering it in a grow tent outside in my back garden. The grow tent is equipped with a thermocouple temperature control system that activates when temperatures drop below 4°C and switches off when they rise above 5°C. I am hoping to acclimate the plant to my local conditions and for healthier growth this season.

You could try added some helium or argon gas to the mix to make cold plasma. Then you could do 30 second seed treatments or living plants since the plasma would be closer to room temperature.
@cooltherapyАй бұрын
Thanks. The temperature of the plasma is pretty close to room temperature already (yes, I did put a finger between the 2 electrodes). Helium or argon would make the setup a bit too complex/costly. Besides, I can also increase the distance between the 2 electrodes to further lower the temperature of the ionic wind.

You started off on the wrong foot, right out of the gates.... mango trees from seeds are NOT more resistant than grafted trees. QUITE THE OPPOSITE. Grafted mango trees come from root stock and bud wood especially selected that are much more resistant to diseases than whatever it is you're gambling with when you plant a seed. I plant over 200 mango seeds a year for grafting and a lot of them develop diseases because of bad DNA. If you want a stronger tree, go with GRAFTED. Seeds will give you whatever mix the DNA has and it's usually much worse.

You can fill a small cardboard box with sandy/silty soil and stick mulberry and fig cuttings in it in early fall or late winter and as long as it doesn`t dry out they will take root. Tie some twine around the box to hold the shape of the box. You can also root cuttings beneath a tomato plant in its shade. I always root cuttings from tomato plants to make more because the rooted cuttings begin producing tomatoes much faster. I do it to make more basil plants too. I save cuttings from hybrid tomatoes and bring them inside in winter to get an early start in spring since our winter is short here in Louisiana.
@cooltherapyАй бұрын
Lucky you, living in Louisiana. Indeed, mulberry and fig are among the easiest trees to root. Tomato cuttings are more difficult to overwinter here in Canada because they can grow very fast, but with regular pruning it's also doable.
@baneverything5580Ай бұрын
@@cooltherapy I`m still trying to master growing micro dwarf tomatoes indoors and keeping them going for years. It`s nearly impossible to grow them outside in summer because they`re so bushy and dense that little brown caterpillars can hide in the center of the plants and eat them from the interior.
