Interesting interpretation (nymph), which would explain why all the women are nude, I presume. With the transmigration interpretation, women are nude because they are souls (dead).

The best work with the Turkish hypothesis, in my opinion, is from a fellow Canadian and his son. But his paper was rejected (for publication) and he was banned from a forum. As a gardener, I found their translation of the "sunflower" page quite interesting, because the process described has some scientific background. Also, Turkish and Arabic languages have influenced each other over the centuries.

I was born in Canada and my sister was in to plants. She used to "graft" one type of cactus plant on to another. She had a collection of very interesting looking plants. Cheers !
