Been here 66 years never seen anything like this!! Crazy!! I bet we got about 6or7 inches in Walton and Holmes county! Just saying. I’m wondering do you own the property where you’re houseboat is anchored to shore? Nice camp there. We do a lot of fishing 🎣 and camping 🏕️ in the bay and the river. We’re outdoors type people.

I would say for your instance... use some hand warmers and such to thraw out cable. As far as the boat, either cover it or blow it out. Ya dont want it becoming ice. And a set of atv goggles help when driving in snow it keeps the eyes clear...

man that looks like fun. edit: HEET is a great product for freeing up frozen stuff. We used to pour it down our air lines to thaw them out quickly up in Wyoming. Can't speak for what it will do for your shift cable in the long term and I doubt you ever have this problem again in our lifetime but maybe keep a bottle in your houseboat.
