I went to Kashmir on 2021, to buy a rabab. Kashmiri people hardly hear about this instrument. They literally have no idea what rabab is. They know sarangi, they say that's Kashmir's main instrument. So i was heartbroken and planning to return home, then some autorickshaw guy told me to go near old foot bridge, a guy leaves there, he can give you rabab, so i visited him , he showed me a block of wood mulberry wood , and told me he will make it rabab from that wood. And charged me 35000 rupees. And told me to come after 3months. When i visited after 3months he handed me my rabab. I came back to my home town and after playing for a 6months my teacher told my it's not real rabab it's a TOY for KIDS, so i contact a guy from Kashmir, he's a professional rabab player and a musician, he has many videos on KZbin. I told him my story, he also said that, what you bought is F.A.K.E. So Guy's before wasting 35000 to 50000 thousand on this Fake thing try some other instruments like Violin or Sarod. Or else go to Afghanistan and buy an ORIGINAL One. Not FAKE KASHMIRI CHEAP TOY. P.S if anybody wants Proof i can show him my Rabab and it's Money Receipt... Thanks Kashmiri Musical Culture 🙏 for looting me and fooling innocent people.

While the initiative is immensely commendable, the concert exceedingly well done, and all the artists' performances a melodious display of talent, I agree with Mushtaq sahib's observation. It serves us no purpose to appropriate politically motivated linguistic traps from outside of us. We have our ethos of mile-chhar and love for all fellow beings. 'Kashmiriyat' does not express it. Kindly remember words matter, phrases matter, slogans matter.

Everything might be good, but using the word "Kashmiriyat" to signify our culture is the most distasteful and vulgarity towards the people of Kashmir; not only because this ideology was invented to to extend Indian Hindutva (clad in secularism) to Kashmir. Kashmiriyat, a parallel of Punjabiyat doesn[t have an equivalent in our language-Kashmiri. You just cut the nose of this Online Concert by this linguistic massacre!

I would say this is probably better than the coke studio version. This brings the soul of the song in a better manner with the soothing strings instead of the percussion and techno laden version of coke studio. Can never get enough of zeb's version of roshe.
