Is this a trek slash? I’ve ridden one and I find that they set you really far forward. Then again, I was riding an XL when I’m meant for a MD but I didn’t like it that much to be honest…

2023 marin alpine trail 7 with upgraded suspension...awesome bike man is it worth it to upgrade the suspension? I have one myself and am thinking about upgrading the rear shock mostly cuz I'm kinda crazy like jumping of 6-8ft retaining walls and stuff
@MagooOnABike17 күн бұрын
This bike is the Marin Alpine Trail XR, so this is all stock suspension. That being said, if you're doing crazy jumps and drops, looking at suspension upgrades is always worth a go!!
@braxtonravndal876817 күн бұрын
@MagooOnABike oh that's awesome man the paint threw me for a loop lol...the alpine trail 7 has the same awesome black to green fade...yeah it just costs so much but the suspension seems to bottom out pretty frequently with 1 token already and only 20% sag which is in my opinion not enough cuz it's just not up to par in the tech (yes I've fiddled around with the rebound quite a bit to some help but not much) I think part of it is is that I'm like 180 lbs with riding kit so lil bit heavier than your average rider but yeah I'll check it out...I'm thinking about putting a fox gravity air shock on it but we'll have to see if it'll fit with the piggyback reservoir

Im a d1 slash gen 6 meat rider ive had this bike since almost literally the week it came out (i work at a shop and ordered before the general public could) and its incredible. Im mostly using it on downhill parks and in like 80/20 enduro trails where its mostly challenging fast decent. Its freaking amazing dude get it going fast and its wild. Through rocks and roots its nimble and easy to move for its weight. On jump lines I can send pro lines to flat and she eats it up. Genuinely recommend riding this bike before making judgements because its crazy fun. Would honestly take this over a downhill bike at the park any day. Its able to hit at almost the same weight class on the rough decents but on jumps and tight sections its enduro nature comes out and it almost just floats through the air and is so easy to flick around. 10/10 would recommend don’t listen to all the trek haters that hate the bike because the name. For the trail rider that spends a shit ton of time pedaling up though get the fuel ex. This bike sucks to pedal up but my god is it fun going down.

My Pivot switchblade is not a High-Pivot bike but it is clearly the correct Pivot. If Pivot doesn't make the High-Pivot then you shouldn't be Pivoting on something that's not Pivot because if Pivot didn't make it then its clearly not correctly Pivoted. So problem solved, you ride Pivot. But not High-Pivot. Feel me?

You get way faster on the ebike once you figure out the weight and braking. You should go try and find crazy climbs.. you'll be just as dead as the fire road climbs on the analog.

High pivots always seem strange in corners.
@kingflynxi942023 күн бұрын
It's because they get longer in the rear as they compress, so your weight balance shifts.
