Dark tide is good for what it is rn, it was never going to be vermintide but the groundwork is there; I’m just happy the we can see more of the universe, the arsenals and good lore on good storytelling. No spoilers but SM2 has a very good story, boltgun’s story was short and sweet but it makes sense for a lone space marine, darktide is good in the lore setting it’s in, as a penetant serving your life away in the god emperors service. Darktide lacks a lot in overall campaign but the environment,vibes of the maps, and the WEAPON AUDIO, are just very well done.

FOV is a quality of life thing, not a requirement. Is the game good? Is it fun? Can you see what's on screen? I love having high FOV, but isn't necessarily important. They're still competent and good at their jobs, and you cannot say otherwise because you're annoyed over something insignificant.

Magnificent? Absolutely not 💀 Decent would be a better word. The best thing they’ve given us is the new Space Marine, which still feels like the story was rushed and has about as much content as a bag of chips. 3 multiplayer maps and modes? In 9 matches I can play all that PVP has to offer. Only 6 coop missions? And 8 hours of story? I paid 100 dollars for the 40ish hours of gameplay I have. I basically paid 2 dollars for every hour I’ve played so far and I’ve done everything the game has to offer me. Don’t get me started on the whole “Pre-order to play 3 days early, or you can wait for us to release it on a MONDAY.” Bullcrap. It’s actually pay to play on time, nothing early about it. Mark my words, Space Marine 2’s monetization is coming and it will be heretical.

Not going to say you’re wrong here although I’m a fan of the games. cuz obviously these companies don’t set a good precedent, but they’ve been pretty active and responsive with the community(which is a good sign). But I have been saying that they should’ve waited until 2025 for the release because they clearly weren’t ready to dish out a WHOLE game, now we’re receiving it in pieces with a smile on our face 🤦🏽♂️.

game changer for me was remapping parry from C to mouse thumb. C was such a poor design choice by the devs - can't parry if you're already strafing right?? so dumb. Now Blue warnings are on my right thumb to parry, Red warnings are on my left thumb (space) to dodge. Really makes the flow way easier

I think people do want quality, relatable characters that change, and universal ideas. Proponents, like myself, think it should be given time to to get there like TV darlings of old. Just go back and watch the first seasons of a lot of beloved shows like The Office or Parks and Rec. It needed time to cook! On that point, you're so right about pilots. We could've gotten some of that "cook time" out of a solid pilot and setting the appropriate tone. You've got a great point about the budget, too. They spent so much money, but, like, where??? The dollar amount cited didn't to turn into a better show. I guess it could be set design, costumes, and make-up? Who knows? I don't see it outside of some pretty exceptional action choreo. While I think The Acolyte could benefit from another season or two, I'm not defending the show. I thought it was only fine. The average piece of art is of average quality. But it's not as bad as people said it was and it was subject to "vitriol" years before premiere. I'm not going to pretend like the Fandom Menace wasn't a problem because the show was flawed. It sucks that people wouldn't denounce the kind of hatred that came from people pretending to "just asking question." You're a real jewel in the nerd spaces, I think! You don't have an agenda beyond appraising and appreciating the art. Your constant levelheadedness, even when passionate, is why I keep coming back.

@@NerdDumb I'm good thanks. Thought I'd warn you if you ever buy it for PS5 Star Wars Outlaws has a Patch that fixes Graphic issues. If you download the patch you have to restart the entire game. I saw a guy post he had to delete 20 hours of Gameplay because he installed the patch.
