Hi prijatelji! 🙂 Imam pitanje: Kako ste organizirali turu, koju agenciju ili prijevoz ste koristili? Žena i ja idemo za mjesec i pol tamo pa da si organiziramo isto jer ste dobro izabrali (prošle godine smo bili u Can Tho i sad bi išli gdje ja malo čišće 🙂) Hvala puno i sretno! Marko

Have been to Las Terrenas twice. I found that good restaurants are pretty expensive, comparable to the U.S. or more. Prices on the menue similar to the U.S., but then you have 18% sales tax, 20% service, and in addition the waiters want a tip.
@dreamsbecomewings25 күн бұрын
Interessting… We didn‘t go to too many restaurants in Las Terrenas but the one we visited were definitely cheaper compared to US. But yeah, in general Las Terrenas is on the expensive side since it‘s quite popular. Additional tips and taxes are an US thing, don‘t you think? 😉

I visited on a day trip from Curacao in 2015, I think. At the time it seemed more interesting to me, but looking back now, I see that Bonaire isn't actually that interesting. It doesn't have anything you can't find on other islands. There are much nicer landhuises, national parks and towns on Curacao, and I also saw the same wildlife on the neighboring islands. The highlight for me was the flooded cave. Also, the snorkeling spot that was recommend to me wasn't the best. It had lots of animals, but I didn't get to see any of the reefs the island is famous for. It probably would've been better if I spent the night, then I could've done it all. My family has been talking about going back, simply because it's so quiet and safe, but I don't see the point of having taken a day trip, just to go back to see one plantation and some reefs. I think two days max is enough. Unless you're into diving and eco-tourism, you'll get bored on the island quite quickly.

You probably have been to a few places where films have been made like the Adelaide Railway Station was used in the filming of Gallipoli with Mel Gibson back in 1980 before he became famous in Hollywood. He was there for the Cairo, Egypt ballroom scenes. The last scenes of the movie were in South Australia too. And a film called Robbery Under Arms was made in the ancient Flinders Ranges to the north of Adelaide in the outback with Sam Neill (Jurasic Park). Pity you didn't go to Granite Island when you were in Port Elliott - it was in the next town Victor harbour a slight jetty walk away. And of course you missed Kangaroo Island too. But you can't see everything and glad you liked your visit.

I went here in November 2022 and loved it. The journey is part of the adventure. For most attractions in Thailand, you can save a lot by purchasing tickets online. You would not get access to an attraction like this in the West for such a cheap price. I spent 5 hours riding a bicycle around the complex and I am sure that I missed something.

Are you doing the big lap? (15,000km drive). Fun fact the actual coastline circumference of Aust is aprox 70,000kms of such diverse landscape After just returning from a big trip to both the UK and Europe i must say we are much more appreciative of our relaxed lifestyle back home in Perth. Europe is so congested & overcrowded no matter where you go and especially if it is a popular as tourist area it gets literally swamped with people and so expensive i will never complain ever about the cost of a food and a coffee back home which is cheap compared to Europes prices. I just popped down to my local Hillary's beach early this morning and it dawned on me we do live in paradise

@@dreamsbecomewings Yep we visisted so many huge cathedrals & palaces etc and even did the 14 day boat trip from Amsterdam to Budapest but most time we were train hopping on the Euro network.
