Mekong Delta is famous for its numerous canals and rivers that are part of local life. This resulted in the Vietnamese tradition of floating markets. Unfortunately, it is dying out due to modernisation. But as long as it still exists, you should definitely experience it, and that's exactly what we did in Can Tho.

I was stationed in Can Tho in 1970 and 71 and have photos of the floating markett then and also photos of it in 2007 and 2019 when I went back to Vietnam..
