Random question: i have the same drill that has stopped working. On the back off the motor is a cover with two screws containing a capacitor. Mine has melted and taken out all the markings so i can't buy a replacement. Might you be able to have a look on yours and let me know what rating it has? The markings start CBB60

Love your clear and detailed vids and showing how good results can come with a little care and common sense. But WHY OH WHY do you ( and the vast majority of woodworking youtubers) feel the need to record the sounds of your machinery ? You wear ear defenders for a reason, but the noise, although not dangerous, is certainly irritating to me. Talking - great, music - sometimes, tool noise - no need at all.

sorry but what do you mean with "you have to adjust this" or "these"? Your blade seems to be off centre. there are a few very good videos on YT of how to adjust the bearings (see my first question), line up the blade (indent of the deep part of the blade at the middle of the rubber track), and advice how tight the blade has to be in ration to the bearings (back and forth movements). Aligning the guides (left and right movement) has to be so that it never touches the blade when running and not cutting should never touch any bearings or guides. Nice video! Great transformation. - I’m wondering.. how has the ceiling held up over time, is there any condensation issues? I have a garage similar size to yours, metal corrugated sheet roof I’ve got lots of condensation I’m looking to order PIR boards to insulate, plastic sheet then osb… would you recommend installing the insulation boards tight up to the metal roof? Thanks this would be really helpful.
@jamiesworkshopprojects1617
@jamiesworkshopprojects1617 Жыл бұрын
Thanks buddy. The ceiling is holding fine and has been up 5 or 6 years now. I had 1 issue with leaking which came from either the nail fixing from above or a gap where the sheets overlapped but after scraping the moss from the roof and adding some sealant to the roof fixings it hasn’t leaked since. I also had an issue before insulating with my tools rusting in winter which doesn’t happen now. I left around a 20mm air gap between the insulation and the walls/roof. 2 things I would do differently is to add noggings between the framing and have plywood boards instead of osb. Hope this gives you an insight 👍🏻
@WOOOODLY
@WOOOODLY Жыл бұрын
@@jamiesworkshopprojects1617 Very helpful 👍 thank you, noggins to support the osb boards is it? Thanks you

@@WOOOODLY noggins between the studwork in the walls too. Nothing has moved or bowed but it’s just the proper way to do it (I was too cheap). If your garage has a side vent like mine, I’d put another one in at the opposite side to create some kind of air flow as well 👍🏻

Hello, I was looking at buying this saw but haven't been certain because of only having a 430mm max wide cut, but are you saying that if you switch the fence to the left side and use the left side extension (when you need to make wider cuts) you can max that out to 560-575mm? You say there is a way to go even wide, would you mind explaining please? :) Cheers

Morning, yes I have wider cuts with the fence on the left. You can make a wider cut by flipping your workpiece around but if you have a large workpiece the overhang can make handling a bit of a struggle. I’d also recommend looking at a video from matt at badger workshop (I should have included this in the video) as he has/had the 216mm saw and extended the right side to increase capacity 👍🏻

This is the saw I was planning to buy when they were on the Axminster clearance sale but as I live in the Isle of Man they wanted over £250 for shipping so that wiped out any saving from the sale, and when I'd arranged an alternative delivery to a UK address to collect at a later date they'd sold out. I've also checked the specifications for the AC254TS and the AW254TS and they are identical so apart from a new paint job what was the point of the rebranding and the price increase?

Nice to see you back, i cant disagree with what you said it is a good saw i own the ac216 its a good saw the main issue i have with it is when putting the lever down to hold the fence the fence flexs over to the right and very stiff on setting the angle of the blade to a 45d, as for dust collection i put 25mm strips of foam around 3 sides between the case and the table which helped out massively as only using a smaller lumberjack hoover.
@jamiesworkshopprojects1617
@jamiesworkshopprojects1617 Жыл бұрын
Thanks bud. I’ll have to try the foam trick because the dust extractor is great with the cnc in particular. I should have included the fence flexing in the vid actually but I forgot. Mine was the same but there’s enough play in the bolt slots to rectify this. I angled it slightly towards the blade so when I replaced the bolts and tightened the fence down it was parallel to the blade.

I'm gonna have a shufty round inside and have a butchers to see if there are any bolts underneath that I can move it with. It's the left front corner of the table that's off by a few mil but if it can't be sorted then I'm gonna take it off and put my own top on it anyways.. If anybody in the comments has had this trouble and changed their tops could u let me know how it went?? Nice one for the video lad. I was looking at getting a Grizzly from the US but trying to get those Yankers to send one to me is right hard work. I found a manufacturer here in IRELAND but they want both arms and legs for one.. Yeah I'm not paying 4-5 grand for one for me garage.. Every junkie in the town will be after it although they'll have to rob a feckin' truck 1st to be able to carry the fcuker.. LMAO.. Anyways bro I enjoyed the video and sub'd as I said. I'm in the process of kitting out me garage for a workshop. I can't wait man.
