@@andrewsword3992 probably the strictest we have been to. They had security on the door and were removing holiday makers.

Great review. Been to campsite before but staying in this accommodation next time for first time. Good to see. Only question is who gets upstairs master bedroom? Me and wife or grandparents 😂

@@mrsteadyhands6408 genuinely surprised at how comfy our tent beds are in general. I used them up until the day I gave birth (you can see in my camping la rivière video).

@@mrsteadyhands6408 how do you find putting the basic bed up? It seems to take us ages everytime - hard to get started. Yeah, definitely recommend a Self inflating mattress - makes all the difference.

@@danstacey5434 it was early July when we stayed - think we arrived on the 14th of July. The pool was fairly busy, but the site itself didn't seem too bad. I've seen this year they have built a new lagoon area, and there is the bech so the pool (in theory) should be less busy.

Hello! Interesting video. Thanks for posting this. I wanted some advice on going to the dordogne. Could you help? 1. Can you recommend which towns or walks to go on? For approx 5-7 day stay. 2. Start point and end points? 3. If you don’t have a car, where is a good central point to stay hotel wise? It appears a lot of dordogne walks are moving ( so you have to move and check into BnBs or Hotels everyday). Which is imo - not ideal. 4. On your dordogne walks - are you reliant upon Google Maps? What if no signal? 5. What routes would you recommend? Thanks!

Haha, we've found some massive bargains in the English run ones in France. Hope 16 is a great one if you're ever travelling the area :)

@@FamilyCampingEurope I live in France too with my french husband (born and raised a Lancashire lass) but I've struggled to find charity shops over here. I live in south Seine et Marne, near Fontainebleau. So when I go home I hit the charity shops haha. Even converted hubby 🤣

@@Kiwiclegg I really struggled when we lived in Montpellier - there was none around! Since living in the countryside more and more are popping up everyday. I still generally find better kids stuff in the UK ones though.

Great setup, you have all the right gear, which you can add to in time. Most of our gear is second hand, unless we required it to be new.

We didn't actually use it. We found the tent a great temperature the whole time. Definitely recommend the safari tents 😍

Hi, we've booked to stay here the end of August and have been told by the camp that swimming shorts are not permitted, only speedos / lycra. I can see you wearing normal swim shorts in the video - were you ever challenged by any pool guards about it? Thanks

They do have heaters in the outside pool however they rarely turn it on. Since I’ve been going which is 14 years for one week per year, it’s been hot twice.

Hey, nice video. We’re staying here now, and have had similar issues to what you mentioned. The fridge sucks… did they fix it? We’re basically freezing our meat as it’s not cold enough. We only got 2 chairs for a family of 4 and they said they can’t fix it 😂. The campsite itself is cool, though.

It's ok for keeping things cool, with ice packs for maybe a day or so. But it wouldn't work to cool anything down like an electric box would.

I found your video really helpful! I’m taking three children camping for the first time this August… we are all so excited but I’m a little nervous there will be something we are missing 😂. I have a travel cot but as my youngest is now three I’ll be putting her into a double with me so that saves carrying the cot around. That bib thing that attaches to the chair is amazing! Never knew they existed! We are looking to get a few trips in so we have some experience for when we tackle the NC500. Wish us luck 😅
