Thank you so much for this video. If you recall, how long had your Consultant been experienced at the time of this video? I only ask because my bunching is on so many locks. It is insane how many I have. I learned a different technique to fix it but it hurt my fingers to do it. Anyway, she basically said there was no way that was bunching this soon. She is not a very long experienced Consultant though so I am so ready to jump ship. Thanks so much for responding.

Slippage is the worst!!! I'm 2 months post install. I tie my hair down every night, I band and wash my hair once before my retie (at this point every 5 weeks), I don't use conditioners, oils, creams, NOTHING, and I wear a shower cap EVERY time I take a shower. I also have very short locs and I have several different textures throughout my head. Even doing all of these things I still have alot of slippage in the back of my head. I wish I could prevent it because it takes a long time to retie🙄😒 I can't wait for them to loc!!😫😩

I have had sisterlocks for 17 months now. Im still experiencing slippage in my edges. Initially locks were falling out from my temples. Now my hair is growing back and the front edges cannot stay! I dont wash often (once per 2 weeks sometimes 3 weeks) i band and braid. I do admit... i am conscious of my edges after locs were falling out so i am always touching it 😫🤦🏾‍♀️. Im jusy getting so frustrated with the temples of my hair 😫... any advice and ideas of what is going on?!?! I do have seborrheic dermatitis in the temples and i am fortunate enough to not experience any recent flare ups

Mychel Smith Oh I’m so sorry to hear this!! Well yes stay out of your hair (as hard as that is) & maybe try going longer between washes (if possible). Just for the sake of not manipulating them too much. I’ll also ask my Loctician what she thinks & let you know what she says. Much luck in your journey. I know it will get better. 😊

Thank you for your reply! I would appreciate what your loctitian suggests. For now i put rubberband around each new lock around my edges until its time for a reti. I also wash my hair twice between reti. Because its hot i wear my hair up in a ponytail and a styled hairwrap around my edges when im out in casual relax places and hair wrapped when im home. Of course at work i have to wear my hair out but im trying to touch it less... it is hard especially with the itching (i have seborrheic dermatitis).

TheNattygyrl Thank you for the encouragement. 😊 I’ve definitely become lazy over the years with styling. However my choice of style is typically any type of curls that will give my hair body.
