What I find hilarious is that these people who hold up their arms as if they're saying " what are you doing, why are you leaving, I'm here" . That's the moment they found out the whole world doesn't revolve around them....... hopefully they learnt the lesson.

These people have likely been habitually late their entire lives and never suffered any consequences besides inconveniencing others. Hopefully they learned a lesson.

The infamous Rossis had the balls to upload a video on KZbin of themselves running to their ship a few years later! Not surprisingly, they realized how dumb this was and deleted the video but someone used a video capture software to save and put it back up for posterity! 😂😂

I never mock pier runners because Karma can be a very cold mistress.

The family left behind because of the bus mix up were on a cruise sponsored excursion. The cruise company only made it right after the family contacted the local news agency to get involved. The story gets very interesting. So much for the guarantee the ship will wait for you.

Appreciate the review, very timely in my case :) Pricing comparison is a little off...but I'll give you that IN GENERAL MSC is less expensive. We've done reg. balcony on Celebrity & MSC Aurea(twice) and enjoyed both - with better food on X. We are doing Celebrity Retreat(Sky Suite) in 1 month, and it's almost 1/2 the price of MSC Yacht Club.

The DIPSTICKS don’t set their watches to the LOCAL TIME, the ship does….say no more.

One technicality that can catch you out. The ship's time and local time at variance by one hour but then when ashore your smart phone changes to local time automatically.

Maybe better to pay a touch more for Sunset Suite to be safely surrounded by cabins? Thoughts, please.

Had a friend show up for a RCL cruise and had them pick their cabin and were told the cruise was sold out. They didn't let her know until she was at the port ready to board the ship.

Why are certain ports more notorious than others for this? Bars in a nearby area that are just too pleasant to stay in?

Almost all ships use ship’s time. We showed up three hours early for an excursion on Holland America because they used local time.

It will be interesting to see how things go with the Villa Vie. A ship that old, even with all the work they are doing could have issues.

Thank you as my wife and I did our first sailing with Celebrity on Equinox in October 2023 in a Aqua class A1 balcony and we enjoyed the amenities even though it was a older ship as we appreciated the speciality restaurant Blue and the spa amenities as well. So we have booked another Celebrity cruise on Beyond our first on a edge class ship for a 11 night Panama Canal and Southern Caribbean cruise for April 2025. We decided to book a Aqua Sky suite and yes it's quite a bit more but it comes with alot of extras! We like that we get the spa amenities you get with Aqua class but also the retreat experience. I would only spend the money and upgraded experience on the edge class though vs the soltice class. Also I would only think about spending the extra money if you are doing 10 days or more as a suite is obviously more space, relaxing and comfortable.

The last one is from long before 2023, though.

I feel so sorry for the uncle. He suddenly had to be responsible for the children twenty-four hours a day, so that was the end of his holiday.

I jus did a mock 7 day booking on both cruises and you're not even close! Haven is 2x the price of yacht club. You seem to be full of bias!

This story is hilarious and sad at hte same time. The kid was so much smarter than the parents. And then the parents blame the kid! It sounds like the kid tried their best to warn them that the ship was going to leave. When it's time to leave, it's time to leave. The ship will not wait for anyone except a cruise line excursion that's running late. Smart Kid! At least they had the presence of mind to get back to the ship!

Pretty sad if the parents chose to blame their kid for missing the ship.

Pier runners should be charged all the fees that the ship has to pay.
