I'm too much of a flipper - I had it for about 8 months before moving it on. I really liked it while I had it but I've only have about a dozen in the semi-permanent rotation and it wasn't going make the cut.

@@OldLineWatchesto be perfectly honest I would have to learn all about it as I really don't know what the difference is is I do know the DLC is damn near bulletproof because I wore that watch there on both of the stainless steel bracelets all week long at the shop and as you can see it ain't really got no marks on it where PVD will rub down over time

Ive been a certified diver since 1987 down in Florida I basically do it for fun atleast three times a month ive tried all the jap diver watches i have 2 promasters 2 orient rays, and use them all. The furthest ive ever descended was around 300 meters, the rays held up great as well as the citizens.. i prefer the orange ray for visibility/ legibility.

couldn't agree more. I've owned an Essence 39 for about 7 months now and while the rubber is the most comfortable strap I've ever worn, I want it to sit perfectly snug to the case.

I sold it after about a year, it did well in that time. The strap it comes with is fine if it's part of a collection but the rigor of daily wear would probably necessitate a replacement sooner rather than later.

Vario is the real deal! Their leather straps are incredible...especially the Bund. I'm going to check out some others. Great looking watch here. Love how the signature on the dial is a little camouflaged. Nice small seconds.

even when it's not my personal style (the Empire Chrono comes to mind), I really love everything about what they do. The design language shows so much thought and care. These D12's really exemplify it. Sticking to the spirit of the original while barely making their own mark on it. It's a delicate balance.
