@@intoitreviews Oh...you tried them. The LM 4562. I did a sound test with the Sparks.....underwhelming to me. The issue with the ZA3 is gain - I have found. They kept it at very low gain levels....but with an EQ....you can see that resolution isn't effected by increased gain. I'm not sure why they did this. Buying a second unit isn't necessary once you have the ZA3 pushing its full capability. I have found :)
@rabscots910Ай бұрын
ZA3 has balanced trs/ts not mentioned at all here as part of its xlr sockets. A good quality rca to trs/ts cable and selecting the xlr switch on the za3 is another free upgrade. ONE za3 with 48v power drives perfectly. Above many others in resolution and nuance.

Two is always better than one with the Za3 based on my extensive experience with it. Gain is helpful though, but if your system is revealing enough, you always benefit from a second amp.

The problem with the nova its its 6 to 7 k treble area. Its too shouty and rolls off after that which makes it worse. I tried the spring tips and i believe it brings the shout slightly down but also rolled the upper treble even more. With the spring tips sound got more relaxed but lacking in sparkle. The mids are pretty detailed though and the bass is satisfying

@intoitreviewsАй бұрын
The Gryphon is actually pretty hard and sterile sounding. I would not recommend for the teaks. There are lot of options though. Idsd micro would be better choice, but you don't really need that much power for the teak. Zen Dac is good enough or Burson Playmate 2 would be excellent options. A small dongle like a hiby fc3, tanchjim space, or colorfly cd01 i reviewed would be good enough tbh. If I think of some others, I'll circle back. Thanks for watching, commenting, and subscribing of course!

Well I got the Organic 1/2 half weeks ago and I tested it intensively on a WA22 tube amp and a couple of solid state amps (ifi, fiio k7 and a topping) against my two years’ old Arya Stealth. So far this is one of the few reviews that mimics my experience. Suffice to say I will return the Organic, it’s not for me. The deal breakers are the recessed (also imho less warm) vocals and a downgrade in musical cohesion in favor of a more technical (but not more natural) presentation. The worst offender to my ears is, however, the TREBLE which I felt on some SS amps “bled” into everything else (sensibly less so on tubes), making it fatiguing and way too intense to listen to. Surprised that there aren’t more people bothered by this. Or is everyone EQ-ing it? I’m not saying treble is necessarily peaky or sibilant, it actually felt most of the time somewhat more refined than the one on the Stealth, but the sheer quantity of it is what makes my ears fatigue much sooner than on the Stealth. It seems to be just too much on tracks that are not and should not be treble heavy. I liked the staging size better on the Organic and on some tracks the instruments seemed to be better separated (at the cost of musicality however). So the search goes on for a HP with the sound signature of the Stealth but a bit more stage size, detail and separation, without sacrificing the bass, the forwardness of the vocals or increasing the amount of treble.😅

Some people have bad ears and just believe what others tell them. Glad I could be helpful. Glad you can return it. It does break in over time, but not worth keeping imho. I didn't.

Can you please explain if changing the xlr opamp has any sound benefits? I read changing that the opamp in that position is not required. I now have one Fosi with two sparkos for the left and right channel. If I want to run dual mono, would I just need to take out the left sparkos opamp and put it in the right one of the other amp? And I could leave the left spots empty? And just run the standard opamp of the xlr?

The TPA3255 is an odd amplifier chip because it requires a lot of input power. However not all of the sockets need to be populated with such a powerful opamp as the ss3602. To make it easier to understand, I’ll explain it looking at the simpler V3 which is single ended with no sub output. If you understand this, you can extrapolate it out to the ZA3s more complex design. The Fosi V3 has two opamp sockets: one for preamp duties and one for driving the power stage. The preamp socket handles initial signal amplification, setting up clarity and detail. The LME49720 is a cost-effective choice here, offering low distortion, low noise, and a neutral sound, making it ideal for clean and precise amplification. The driver socket needs to deliver a strong signal to the TPA3255, requiring higher current output and voltage swing. The Sparkos SS3602 excels here due to its robust current drive (±50 mA) and dynamic performance, fully driving the power stage with improved transients and dynamics. This hybrid approach optimizes performance while balancing cost. The LME49720 provides excellent sound quality for its price in the preamp, while the more expensive SS3602 is used only where its benefits are most critical, maximizing sound quality without the cost of two discrete opamps.

@@intoitreviews at lot of peaple are enjoying ZA3 as is. Ss3602 is expensive than the amp itself, doesn't make sense. Why not buy a better amp with the total amount of ZA3 + ss3602.
@intoitreviews2 ай бұрын
@fredreadrick people that enjoy the za3 as is likely don't understand they can do better. Perhaps watch my full za3 video as well, I mention some other amps to consider there. Considering them vs za3 with sparkos could be an option, although I'd ultimately recommend v3 mono blocks with burson vivid op amps in most cases if you're going to spend big money. Sparkos are actually an economical option for many people on a budget considering that. Also maybe some people have bought the za3, and are probably disappointed. Op amp upgrades can be helpful fore them to consider for sure. Unlike other channels, this channel only has the agenda of telling people the truth about sound outcomes.

Im assuming the volare is more "technical" and "detailed" since its 200 dollars more expensive, but how big is the gap in terms of those 2 is the volare vs the sogno?
@intoitreviews3 ай бұрын
Not really, no. The volare has a bit more of a nuanced presentation and an EST sound, but the sogno actually displays details a bit better imho, at least below the air region. Both are limited in air, but the sogno is even more so. These two IEMs sound more similar than they do different. The sogno is a bit more engaging and the volare a bit more laid back. I find the price gap isn't necessarily worth the upgrade (unless you hate the more energetic sound), but the volare cable is notably better.
