I regularly have a day with the boys where we play smash all night, but i was the only one without a switch. I got tired of losing all the time and picked up the game and a second hand switch. Now trying to learn and get better. It aint easy

May sound strange but I main Mii fighter. Specifically toad. It's actually a really good character if you play your cards right. Ye not great recovery but has one of the best grabs in the game

I'm putting this video in my watch later so I can look back at it but I disagree with only one thing: "Getting Bodied is bad for you." It does make someone frustrated and lose their s*** but one of the best ways to learn and "get gud" at the game is getting bodied because for me at least, that's why I'm here tonight. I only took 4 out of maybe 30 games. And yes I took some and I'm proud of at least 2 of the matches I took. But the guy I was facing was insanely good at Shield Parrying and I learned tonight that one simple thing can cause someone to see a positive outcome rather drastically and they'll see more positives outcomes they've ever seen just by learning something simple. Learning how to Shield Parry every single move in the game in every single type of situation can make someone go God Tier. So if we don't get bodied we won't learn. Sometimes we don't need someone to tell us what to do or give us coaching sometimes we can get bodied and after we cool down we can recognize and take something we learned. I just feel if I mastered Shield Parrying on that guys level that it would improve my win rate and I'd see a drastic difference. I will say Shield Parrying is kind of stupid though because if you had two players in a tournament Shield Parrying 100% of attacks and on the same level as each other when it comes to Shield Parrying the Match would never end, no damage dealt, and timer down to 0. But instead of getting mad and thinking and truly believing Shield Parrying is stupid, becoming a master at it I recognize would improve me very postively as a player, thus getting bodied helped me learn. I stumbled across this video looking up "How to Shield Parry like a pro Smash Ultimate" Honestly though I really liked the tone of your voice and enthusiasm in this video and it reminded me of old cartoons where there'd be an influencial enthusiastic deep voice trying to teach someone how to do something, or like those old infomercial ads that would tell someone why they should buy something and how it would help them. You voice makes your video sell well and really gets the points across

Mine is Kirby bc I love him, he’s cute, useful, easy to use, fun with copy abilities and looks, and I love the memes when a new character is introduced and people go “yeah well ok but how does it affect Kirby?” I also didn’t know ness when I started playing, when i got him i thought “that character looks super cute, too powerful tho” then I actually played mother/earthbound and I’m surprised about him being in the game at all
