I really like the way you have designed this, making it easier to convert this to smaller size boards by finishing with a plain row of same size dots. 20" is outside some of us being able to get a 20" round board. I live in a regional city in the northern part on the east coast of Queensland Australia. Our crafting items mostly arrive in the post. What crafts that are available in the rare craft supplier stores in the City are basic supplies which are mainly restricted to standard size artist framed canvases. As I said this design leaves a lot of room to resize, thank you.

This is beautiful. I have a question about the diamond glaze. It gave the base a greenish hue. Does diamond glaze come in different colours or was that perhaps the lighting on the video?

Thank you! The Dragonfly Glaze comes in different colour shifts. This one is the Violet Blue Green shift. It does depend on the lighting as the colour does shift from one to the others. When I look at it I mostly see blue.

Thank you! I purchased an 8” and a 16” from Lee Valley Tools a few years ago. Unfortunately they don’t sell them anymore. I tried connecting with their product team but they just don’t carry them anymore. You might see them in their website but they have 0 stock. Sorry I don’t have better news because I love them!

Tutorial was great thank you! With the larger tools for the center dot there’s usually a button, most times I want a flat dot. I use Decoart Americana btw. I’ve tried smoothing it out with a small tool but sometimes it looks lumpy. Does this have to do with paint consistency? Should I add a medium to thin it out? Any info is appreciated!!

Thank you so much!! Sometimes the “button” can be caused by the paint consistency. Play with your paint by adding a pouring medium to it. I use Liquitex Pouring Medium or another brand, or Floetrol. Just add a little at a time and mix slowly so you don’t introduce any bubbles. Then test it out. Other times, you can get the button because you don’t have enough paint on your tool. If your tool pulls up and leaves a divot or bump in the paint, try adding a little more paint to it. I also will use a smaller tool at times to swish it around a bit to flatten it / even it out. DecoArt Americana is generally pretty good straight out of the bottle, but not always and if it’s an older bottle that has already been opened, it might need pouring medium. I hope this helps. 💗

Absolutely lovely! I started dotting a couple months ago and took to it quickly, and like you said I’m always watching to get knowledge on how to improve. I think you’re a great teacher and hope someday I’ll be as good as you! I get the first dot anxiety and need to correct it often, I can’t wait until that passes 😂
