How To Varnish Your Dot Art Mandala | Dot Art Tutorial | Demonstrate Application of Liquitex Varnish

In this dot art tutorial, I will demonstrate how I varnish my dot art mandalas. I almost always use Liquitex Gloss Varnish. It is easy to apply, self-leveling and gives a glossy durable finish.
Liquitex carries many varnishes. They have High Gloss, Gloss, Satin and Matte in the product most would use to varnish a mandala.
I use a 3" high density foam brush to apply the varnish and I don't skimp.
I typically apply 3 coats of varnish.
At the end of this video I will show how I store my finished pieces.

Beautiful piece and thanks for the advice. I've been getting into dot art recently, but have been reluctant to continue as I didn't know how to store them without them sticking together but the foam pouches sound like a great idea! Now I can get back to playing with paint lol.

Haha! It does seem like it sometimes! Lol. No, I started painting rocks and upcycling furniture into art pieces years ago. Now I mostly do dot art mandala painting I do wall art, mirrors, furniture, tea light holders, necklaces, turtles, elephants, journals, badge reel holders, tic tac toe games…. And the list goes on. I made a spontaneous purchase of over 30 Lazy Susan’s when I thought they were being discontinued ….thus I have been painting a lot of them. People love them. They make great wedding gifts, shower gifts, house warming gifts etc. and they do use them. Thank you!
