I have just stumbled upon a goldmine. No appliance schools down here in Northeast Pennsylvania.. But I have been considering this trade for a long while. I did 6 months as an apprentice and just couldn’t grasp things quickly enough, nor was I disciplined. This video alone gives me encouragement to really start studying. Wish I could attend this class locally!! Thanks!

Exact thing I was taught in HVAC. When a system is over powered, then the thermostat will shut the system much sooner than a right sized condensor for a home because it has time to cool. Exact same thing when the thermostat is installed directly below the vent. Wonderful teacher.

Have got a 134 compressor for a double door deep freezer... It works and stops. And then the compressor becomes very hot after it stops. I removed the relay and overload, plugged it directly to see if any of these components are bad but it's still the same..

Great stuff. Just tested my PCB and I have zero volts before and after pressing the test button. When plugging the refer in I do get a 1 second reading of 40 volts tho. So does this definitely pinpoint a bad PCB. Or would a bad compressor cause the no voltage too ?

What if the motor hums then eventually starts? It only hums before starting sometimes most of the time it starts right up.

Just bleed off the yellow hose if you pull from both the high and lowside. Also there is micron guages that can read if you are good to charge or not, normally all manufacturers recommend below 500 microns.

The lg tech line acts like its ran by ai. You have to text them thru app and maybe if your lucky they will call you. When you text lg tech line they send back a bs answer and then they disapear. Then you have go in and fill out another form. Its a joke. Lg customer service is even worse. Its lime they are giving garbage customer service by design Making it normal.

Ai can't replace techs on the field. At least not in our lifetime. it'll only be applied in UI to begin with. And even then it'll make our jobs easier during diagnostics.

I have this same washer. The fault is F8E1. All the troubleshooting referenced checked out good including resistance readings of solenoids. Lastly pointing to the Main Control. (Really. I hope not. ) I ordered some inlet valve thinking the valve may not be opening all the way. I have well water. Any thoughts appreciated. Thanks.

That specific control does control the frequency and the AC to DC . A lot of times PWM or similar from my understanding.

I dont understand the logic. If you have 'both voltages' and the windings are good, then how could it be the inverter? Isnt the inverter putting out 12v. ?
@appliancetraining5600
@appliancetraining5600 Ай бұрын
No 12v is the input from the main board, there is a second input of 12ovac that is controlled for the compressor some voltage are about as high as 240

Recognize the photo at 19:44. That’s a picture I took after I went through the transmission 3 years ago. Primarily a oil change and replacing the agitator shaft since the original got damaged from trying to remove the old metal agitator drive block which was stuck on. Not a issue since I rebuilt the transmission, however the timer has been giving me issues and looks like I’ll have to do a complete retrofit.

An inverter converts DC to AC, not what was stated around 12:30
@riz65
@riz65 Ай бұрын
I agree with the statement, but the compressor controller on most refrigerators are called inverters, and are taking the 120vac and converting their frequency to change the motor speeds, Youa re right as the definition is Ac to DC as an inverter,
@cleansebob1
@cleansebob1 Ай бұрын
@@riz65 The way it (the controller) works is it converts (rectifies) 120 VAC to DC, and *then* it "inverts" that DC back to (variable frequency) AC to drive the motor. I love most of this guy's lecture content; my intent is to make it better. And use of the correct terminology is very important when explaining fundamentals.
