I almost gave up on your training videos; because it was such a struggle to hear the audio. Thank you so much for correcting the audio issues. This presentation is a much better learning experience. I kept coming back to your appliance videos because of the content. The content is still outstanding _and_ the audio is clear! Please continue to use the current microphone setup. It’s working _great!_

Thank you so much for your videos. Still new to appliances but I have gained so much from watching these kind of videos. Question. I am in South Africa and I know with most African countries. Our fridges don't have fans, visible evaporator, expansion valve, no damper or separation between the fridge and freezer compartment. Assuming some of these are internal. The capillary tube and suction line run internally. While we have the normal filter drier, static condenser and compressor. How would you explain that. It makes sense to say the cycle is from compression, condensation, expansion then evaporation. Can filter drier also serve the purpose of expansion? Even in terms of temperature control i.e. thermostat how does it regulate the temp and since we don't have any cooling air flowing through the fridge. This is part of the reason why once there is an internal leak, you don't have a choice but to dump your fridge. Not sure why manufacturers manufacturer that way. So if you can do a video in that context even if it's short that would be helpful. One way I have seen people reviving those type of fridges is to drill holes at the back of those compartments, put two evaporators connected to each other i.e. capillary tube to evaporator 1, discharge line from evaporator 1 to evaporator 2 then back to compressor.

They most likely work like our chest freezers in America, the condenser and evaporators are inside the walls, and you may be right about the dual evaporator systems. with dual evapoarators, you can cool both compartments. I have not seen the type of fridge you are talking about so it would be hard to explain its theory of operation, but adding your own evap and condensers is a way to keep the cabinet. Still, that much work and cost of parts , it might be better to replace the fridge.
