Splendid lecture, thank you. Just like to mention, I have had substantial transcendental experiences, I have never tried drugs, never smoked even a cigarette. Universal consciousness is what we all are already, the reason we don’t see it is due to the 12 demons. Actually when he first mentioned demons, I thought he was going in the wrong direction, but then he showed the list of demons and that was excellent, that is correct, in Buddhism these are attachments, and nirvana is a result of having no attachments. It’s all the same, even Judaism and Christianity, it’s all the same at its core.

Walter has a very positive view of hermetica, world affirming bringing the light into the world, non dualistic - this is odd because there are some books in the CH which are almost Manichaen is distinguishing the above the unseen unchangeable from the below, the wickedness of the body and maleable forms - is this more positive take on Hermetica a result perhaps of Christian influence, a more Renaissance Hermetica rather than the Hermetica that co-existed along with the Gnostics?
