It might be the best tool optimized for stab. What I'd look for - steel: tough, a bit stainless, no need for much edge retention, maybe Sandvik 12c27 - any handle traction grooves run width wise - a tough guard that spreads force out - mostly single edge - not pointy pommel: so stab force can be applied with 2 hands

Just finished watching your video on this bad boy. I ordered this about an hour ago so looking forward to receiving tomorrow. Not sure but it looks like Eafengrow released the EF 155, 56 & 57 last fall? All three look awesome. Again kudos to you on excellent videos & presentation. KEEP ROCKIN’ GRUGGS 👍👍.

I have this knife. It’s definitely a tanto style chopper, not a machete. Definitely dc53 as well. I have sharpened it and it feels exactly like my other dc53 blades. I really like it so far. GTKii looks to be making some good budget blades. Thx Gruggs! You do us all a favor with your knife reviews sir

I have a 5CR version of this knife that is 7mm thick and has the MBB logo on it. 5CR works well.

to thick reduced sliceing 8 mil 4mil with 390 would of been fine saber or flat wouldn't matter not going to cut very well should have a longer blade people will try to pry there making a field knife military or whatever they are trying to do a better BK 2 whats your thoughts like the channel can tell you love knifes a guy after my own heart well new subscriber so so watching some of your other videos 📹 😊

Yes they sent me a new knife but I did not retest. It’s not worth it. The designer said it was not meant for the testing I did. So I decided to keep the new blade as a collection piece. There is better if you are looking to do more hard use with it. If you are going to do camp kitchen stuff it will be fine.
