I just can't believe t all of those kids looked up to Bill Cosby on the Fat Albert in the 1970s through the 1980s and he was a good role model for all of the kids looked all of the sudden he decided to rape someone which is as bad as murdering a person

Bill Cosby is pure genius. Fat Albert was an integral part of my childhood. I was 6 ears old when it came out. I lived in a small community in a state with almost zero diversity. Fat Albert and Cosby opened the door to show this 6 year old boy that people are people no matter what color they come in. God Bless Mr Cosby

In the words of Alice from "Alice in Wonderland" to describe Cosby's situation: He gave himself very good advice, but he very seldom follow it.😔 I'll still watch "Fat Albert" even if Cosby's reputation is tarnished. If people can still like "Ren & Stimpy" despite what that disgusting creep John K did, why not the same with "Fat Albert"?

I still respect the public image of Cosby that we knew. That image encouraged family values and inspired generations of Black men like myself to become educated, hold and a job, etc.

I'm not focused on Bill cosbosy and what he did anymore. I'm not gonna allow his choices to overshadow the awesome things that were created back then for us. To do that is to forget all the other people who contributed to this awesome series!!! It definitely was and still is awesome because I still watch them to this day:)

It’s still hard to believe the things they say Bill Cosby did because he projected so much positivity and in a lot of white kids homes fat Albert was the first black person ever to come into their home so that says a lot

This could’ve easily fooled me into thinking this was an actual episode of the series, a massive improvement over the original special. They even made a reference to the original pilot by designing Fat Albert’s dad in Fat Albert’s original design.

Correct. They also made changes Weasel = Rudy Nolan = Dumb Donald

While the series was dubbed in Mexico, the first country to air the dubbed version of Fat Albert was chile, it aired in Channel 13 of the Catholic University of Chile between the 80s and 90s, it was then broadcasted in Cartoon Network latin american signal between 1994 and 2000, then, on Boomerang between 2005 and 2007, it was also broadcasted in some point on Tooncast and MTV, but the dates are unknown.

Regardless of current affairs surrounding Cosby, his comedy routines in the sixties and comedy albums (I had them all) were some of the best comedy ever created. Clean, but absolutely the funniest material you ever heard. My family laughed over and over again with all the Fat Albert stories. I still remember the hernia bit. Its so sad that Cosby the legend is now Cosby the letcher.
