@@GnarkillSlayerGwar the roads must be nice where you live that's all I can say lol, knowing how to stop is one thing, but these giant cracks and dips and random jutting out bits of crap, man, for my commuter board I need real tires, but for sliding and that sort of thing ofc it's gotta be urethane. I'll slide on my regular board, but I've never tried it on an electric...
@GnarkillSlayerGwar2 жыл бұрын
@@solomonjenkins9505 yeah the roads here in Perth are all pretty nice and taken care of. Yeah I would be on air tyres too if my roads were that jacked for commuting. It’s definitely different sliding the Hadean compared to a regular board. Thing weighs 15kgs so it’s actually not hard at all to break the wheels free and slide. Only thing is you need to tune your trucks so they are stable cause hard to go big and stay stable on double kingpin trucks. Really fun once you figure it out and get it down pat though. I recommend trying it. The Hadean slides easier then the GT also due to the extra weight.
@solomonjenkins95052 жыл бұрын
@@GnarkillSlayerGwar oh interesting, the weight helps? I only have a GTR as far as e boards that could do urethane and no conversion kit...but could be fun...although tbh I probs wouldn't ride the carbon on urethane, would be really stiff
@GnarkillSlayerGwar2 жыл бұрын
@@solomonjenkins9505 yeah the heavier the board the easier it will slide. Doesn’t always mean it’s easier to control in slide though. Also the carbon board is actually better for sliding and going fast too. You want a stiff board when it comes to sliding and going fast. Way more stable then the bamboo. Thanks for your questions.

I was finding them great with the skin on only problem is it died way too fast. Like 2 big shout down slides and it gone. Once gone I was feeling the lose grip cornering. Other wheels I’ve ridden wouldn’t lose their grip like that on that run even with skin gone. So I didn’t like them much for downhill. Great cruiser wheel though.

@@GnarkillSlayerGwar thanks man what other wheels do you normally run. to grip fast corners
@GnarkillSlayerGwar5 жыл бұрын
Jared There are a couple that stand out amongst the rest for speed and grip. First you got the Cuei Killers. The 77a I find are the fastest and have the most grip. If you are lighter rider I recommend the 75a so the wheel is soft enough for you to squish the lips when cornering. Next wheel is the Venom Magnums. They are super fast, grippy, strong and soft. If you’re also looking for a good DH wheel that’s fast, grippy, reliable and most importantly great for your buck. I recommend the Powell-Peralta race wheels. They are a great wheel for a great price if u don’t want to break the bank.

Man I’m looking at getting the same thing for my first board (looking at a freeride/dh setup) and I’m deciding between it and the cheese grater. Is the shorter length going to do anything for the board
@GnarkillSlayerGwar6 жыл бұрын
Matt C I chose the Wolfshark mainly because of the awesome wheels base options on it. Has a huge range to suit just about anyone. Honestly the size of the board is perfect for both freeride and dh in my opinion. Plus that peanut W concave is beautiful. Locks ur feet in so comfy.
@mattc53686 жыл бұрын
Gotcha dude. I’m just new and I read a bunch of places that the deck should be longer (38-42?) for freeride
@GnarkillSlayerGwar6 жыл бұрын
Matt C yeah you don’t really need any longer than 38 - 40 depending on your height and how wide your stance is for both freeride and dh. It’s all about those wheelbase options that determines your stance. So if u get a board and and realise the WB is too big on its smallest setting would really suck. So make sure the WB options on the board will suit your style. Plus when doing dh you can make it longer for more stability and when freeride make it shorter for easier control in stand up slides. So WB options plays a big part as well as length. The Wolfshark Mini is shorter but still a mad dh beast.
@mattc53686 жыл бұрын
Ok so the length is really just a personal preference thing right? Like there shouldn’t be a set number for it?
@GnarkillSlayerGwar6 жыл бұрын
Matt C yeah pretty much. If you like a long wb then a longer board will be better cause if it’s too small then the wb options may not be big enough. So the Wolfshark mini is a good example of that you don’t need much shorter than that.

Hey, curious about your bushings/ kingpin setup. I'm 220lbs, and have been thinking about going with standard bushings, 95-96a for street side and 98-100a for board side, but recently heard that putting the harder bushings towards the street and softer, slightly longer bushings toward the deck slightly decreases carve but makes long distance pumping way easier. I've achieved my initial goal of sharper turns by getting sidewinder 2's but have had zero luck pumping thus far (the bushings that come with them MUST be 90a or something) and the majority of pumping setups involve wedges and non-drop through decks, I'd REALLY appreciate the input and advice.
@GnarkillSlayerGwar6 жыл бұрын
Michael M I'm just running the standard bushings that came with the trucks. This setup is kinda hard to pump without having to push every now n then. Maybe the drop deck has something to do with it. I don't know too much either when it come to pumping, I know more about downhill / freeride setups. Hey I said it to the other dude, if u really want something that can actually pump up big hills (with a lot of effort). Look up Surfskate. You can basically get anywhere without ever having to push. I have one and it's amazing. I should upload a video of it. Here's a link to check them out. m.kzbin.info/www/bejne/sH3YYqeAas-Wq7M
@michaelm33306 жыл бұрын
Shredding Perth thanks for the recommendation, I actually came across those yesterday and they look pretty sick, we don't have more than a couple lengthy lightly sloped hills where i am, but they're definitely tip of my list for my next board. What about your kingpin tightness? Do you have your board side kingpins tighter than the street side pair, or vice versa?
@GnarkillSlayerGwar6 жыл бұрын
Michael M yeah I've been told you're meant to have your board side slightly tighter than the road side. So the hanger truck should be a little more lose then the truck arm. I have them quite tight and it doesn't seem to slow the turning down too much. They are quite a loose truck even if u run them tight.
