I was digging around online and wasn't having much luck finding anything out about these Raider Rallies, but it sure looks like a lot of fun. If you have any info you could share... I'd appreciate it, thanks! Love your videos!

Hey budd. How's the Triumph Rocket 3 treating you since you've had it?
@the7thletter4447 ай бұрын
Hey! It’s been great. I had some minor concerns early on (failed wheel bearing way too early in its life due to a bad install at factory), and it does eat up oil. (Such a large displacement, and I’ve been told by multiple shops it is normal). But those are minor things in the big scheme. I LOVE this bike. It handles like a dream. I’m not as proficient with it in low speed police rodeo style maneuvers yet, but I’ll get there. Thanks for asking!

I'm having trouble locating a Vance and Hines Exhaust for my 2009 Raider, any suggestions would be appreciated. I just moved from CA to the country and well, I dusted off the bike with only 4,000 miles on it and it's a blast. Goes through gas like crazy because I just can't stay off the throttle listening to that rumble of the stock exhaust, BUT I WANT MORE!
@the7thletter44411 ай бұрын
I wish I had some advice. With this bike out of production, most of the aftermarket products are no longer available. Best bet is to ask in Raider user groups like roadstarraider.com or on Facebook. Best of luck! Enjoy that beast.

I have a 2008 with about 120,000 miles on it as of today. It's not really something that's been "fixed" by Yamaha, or even is worthy of a recall...it's just something worthy of checking if you're already doing some maintenance.

The Indian in this video is more performant than the Raider in this video, regardless of anyone's skill. Indian had a bad launch (couldn't get lock up at first). But it's all just for fun anyway.
@Gmailjewellisaiah35 Жыл бұрын
Well the Yama almost had won and if he would have done what I thought he should have I think he would have won it and yes I understand the Indians spine and that's why the radar almost w o n but I think it could have been one for the Raider had a boy had a little bit more launch experience

What issues have you experienced in 113k miles? I've read about starter relay, starter, fuel sensor, and fuel pump issues after many miles. Thanks.
@the7thletter444 Жыл бұрын
Hey thanks for watching. The fuel pump housing cracked at around 70,000 miles. Since then I learned to baby it by filling up between 100-120 miles and that keeps fuel around the housing, keeping it cool. Fork seals replaced a couple of times, the seal around the clutch rod was leaking at one point, but replaced that. All-in-all - it's been a great bike.Thanks for watching!

I need some advice about recharging the battery using the bike's electronics. I ride a DR650 or a DRZ400. Not that the bike type matters much.
@the7thletter444 Жыл бұрын
Hey thanks for watching. I have a pigtail installed on my bike's battery (for charging it when I don't ride for a few days). It's a direct connection to the battery, so it works both ways. I wouldn't recommend using it to charge CPAP when the bike is not being ridden, but when it is, there should be plenty of charge. I just had to purchase a cable that goes from the SAE style connector on my pigtail to the type that fits my battery pack that I use to run the CPAP from.
