Interesting. Shredding is challenging and has its' place. It clearly demonstrates how the fingers of the shredder csn "dance" over a guitar's strings. Worked into a complete score, shredding can sometimes add to the music being played. I humbly feel however that the playing of Women like Ana Vidovic, Liona Boyd, Sharon Isben, Renata Tarrago and many others have a Calling far above mere shredding [ which is what I do to used paper documents ]. How many of the shredders in this post can play ASTURIAS, FARRUCA, CAVATINA, MALAGUENA and other fantastic pieces in as absolutely inspiring manner as the Guitarists I've listed ?
