Registration marks at the ends are really another fast, easy way of alignment. Use of cross. Then, lay the top graphic and align the crosses, and you should be on the mark.

I honestly don't remember. I currently charge $320 for a single sided 4x8 but need to go up on that some. Haven't revised my pricing since the first of the year. So it was probably around $200 for the board and print/lam. Then I would have added a half hour labor for ripping the board longways like that. And probably some time for artwork. So probably $250 - $300 total before tax.

Hey Kathy, thanks for the comment! Are you having problems with getting the cutter to cut regular solid color vinyl? Or just printed decals with registration marks?
@zayakatpete Жыл бұрын
I’ve tried with registration marks and it gives me an error Everytime. When I keep trying it will eventually cut but totally off the whole picture. The guide it came with doesn’t tell me really anything but how to set it up out the box. This machine is expensive to just be sitting there not making money. Sorry im just so frustrated not bring able to figure it out. I haven't tried vinyl cut in a while to see if it still cuts correctly. I gave up along time ago and thought I would try again. please help thank you
@Blackcreekcustoms Жыл бұрын
@@zayakatpete I understand your frustration for sure. When I had that plotter it always gave me problems reading the registration marks as well. I would always get a mark scan error. I also had it do the same thing where it cuts off completely for no reason. For some reason that plotter just does not do well with reg marks. Are you using cutting master 4 to make your reg marks and cut? If not, download it and use it and see if that helps. When you place your reg marks, put them at least an inch outside the artwork, then also leave an inch on the outside the reg marks. Also, you have to make sure you load the print into the plotter as straight as possible when going to cut it. That's all I can really think of, hope that helps!
@zayakatpete Жыл бұрын
Thank you very much. I don’t think I’m using master 4 for the registration marks. I’m putting them straight from graphtec studio
@Blackcreekcustoms Жыл бұрын
@@zayakatpete gotcha, yeah I would try downloading cutting master 4 and using it. I never used Graphtech studio so I can't really speak on that. I'm not sure if it will help, again that plotter always gave me trouble with reading reg marks. That was ultimately why I eventually upgraded to the FC series. And my printer prints 60in, so I wanted to be able to cut 60in. Anyways, sorry I couldn't be of more help! I hope you get it figured out.

Does the wrap smoothly cover gel coat with spider impact cracks? In other words, is this a good alternative to gel coat repair?
@Blackcreekcustoms Жыл бұрын
No unfortunately you can see the cracks, almost looks embossed in the wrap. Any imperfections in the gel coat would need to be repaired prior to wrapping. With that being said, I have had people fill the cracks with fiberglass repair stuff, sand it smooth, then wrap it instead of trying to paint/re-gel it. Hope this helps!

@Blackcreekcustoms2 жыл бұрын
That's a tough one to answer bud. I have a spreadsheet I've made with my most common materials with their costs. I type in the sq ft I'll be using on each material involved in the job and it calculates my markup. Then I add my labor at the end to get the final price.

Hey nice video first time seeing this machine. can you provide a link to purchase?
@Blackcreekcustoms2 жыл бұрын
The brand is US Tech, I can't seem to find a link to their website. I purchased it directly from US Tech. I recommend getting a better one if you can afford it. I have managed with this one but not without problems. Mainly feed issues, but have thrown away a lot of prints because of it tracking off. I've got it dialed in pretty good now, but it took me a long time. I don't have any recommendations for what would be a better one but I haven't been looking. I would advise searching some forums for ideas on which ones are good.
