Good work.. I layer all my graphics in the shop. When the graphic comes off the plotter there is a box cut around the graphics. Cut corners for registration marks, weed, mask the top graphic, don't tape background, layer matching the corner marks, tape the whole thing, add center marks, install...I never thought about using a pencil like this. In situations like this I cut along the top of a few letters to expose the background and line it up that way. Good stuff my friend.

Just curious how do you figure out where all the letting us supposed to go? Do you have like a blueprint with measurements and whatnot?
@Blackcreekcustoms4 жыл бұрын
Hey Drew, so for a full wrap I download a template from Badwraps.com or Pro Vehicle Outlines. But for spot graphics like this, I just take a picture of the customers vehicle, do the layout on the picture. Then once the design is approved I take measurements of each area where the decals are going. I'll be doing a video on layout and design here soon. Just been super busy. Hope this helps, Thanks!

Nice technique! How did you manage to keep it from drooping at all vertically with the graphic only being held in place by the magnetics? With my luck, with a long run like that, mine would've drooped. Lol

Mike Summers just make sure you keep tension on it, should help. Also, it just comes with practice lol

Where can I get those magnets ? Can you link me ?
@Blackcreekcustoms4 жыл бұрын
I actually can't remember where I got those. I have better ones now, I get them from Fellers. You have to have a resale certificate to purchase from them. If you do tho, just go to Fellers.com and search magnets.

Registration marks at the ends are really another fast, easy way of alignment. Use of cross. Then, lay the top graphic and align the crosses, and you should be on the mark.

Once I have a graphic where it goes. I put tape and a pen mark on the app tape and substrate so that when lying, then I know I am not going up or down. hill when apply the graphics.
