Wow! I learned something new today. This is not the love song that I thought it was. This is a different kind of love and sadness.

I heard an instrumental of this version of this old carol, unlike the usual one. I’ve wondered ever since if anyone else had done it. I’m so happy to find this lovely performance!
@Nyama74 Жыл бұрын
I'm so glad you enjoyed! Best I can tell, this version is based on an arrangement by the English folk-group Pentangle (from their "Solomon's Seal" album). I believe this particular melody was discovered by composer Ralph Vaughan Williams, though, because he has an earlier version of the carol, as well, with the same melody.

Saw him at Martyr's (Chicago) in 2001. Stopped by for the sound check after the Cubs game. Came back that night and he remembered me. Signed my CD! Saw him with KC, solo, and BLUE. Fantastick! :-) Oh, laptop keyboards suck, day or night!!!!!!!!!! Took me 20 mn to write that crap....
