Very nice jelly jars and bouquets. How do you hydrate the cerinthe? If I can’t figure that out, I may not plant it again next year.
@SunshineFloraКүн бұрын
Sometimes I use the Floralife hydrating solution. Definitely one that needs in water instantly and overnight to hydrate

I am trying to understand why its important how customers carry their purchase i am very sure the customers have a car they put their purchase they cant carry around in their car it may not be a good idea to put water in the jelly jars cust can do that when they get home

Congrats! I’ve been looking forward to this video since your big market one last year! Can’t wait to hear more about your experience with pumpkins this year, which ones sold the best, which ones grew the best and which ones you’ll grow again and which ones you won’t!

I would love a pumpkin video too! It would be great to hear how you price them as well as how customers carry their purchases (bags, boxes etc). Congrats on a great market!

I’m glad your market went so well. How do people carry the jelly jars around with them through the market ? I guess if you were the last booth they stopped at it would be fine. Do you bag your jelly jar bouquets for people ? And what about the fresh bouquets, do you put them in a baggie of water for them. I’m sorry I’m just curious as things that need or have water involved might be difficult to carry through a market ? Sorry for all of the questions 🥺🌺💚🙃

Sometimes people stop at my booth on the way out. Or carry the jar around. Or put in a stroller cup holders. Wrapped bouquet I put a baggie on the bottom of the bouquet

Hi Christina! I’m always very excited to see your big market videos! Cannot wait for part 2! I also have a question: how do you keep your honeywort from wilting? Mine always wilts no matter what time of the day I harvest it. Thanks!
@SunshineFlora5 күн бұрын
I harvest in the morning and make sure to get hydrated right away. I always harvest stems with blooms. Sometimes I’ll use the floralife hydrating solution. I can’t remember if I used it for this or not

Make sure you only harvest the woody stems
@clairegill78915 күн бұрын
@@SunshineFlora I did do that 😕
@ginny.harrison3 күн бұрын
I split the bottoms of my stems up the middle about an inch with my snips like I do with other woody stems. Seems to help them drink and not wilt.

Im going through a learning curve about when to water my new seedlings --I ruined a lot of starts last year with over watering. What is your indication that they are dry--touching with your finger, or? And do you find those newer seedlings don't need water more than every few days?

So, do you have a cooler to put them in since it's the day before. I am wanting to try my luck at our farmers market next year. I don't have a cool spot, so would I have to pick mine day of? Also, if I just want to sell by the stem for peonies, how do you come up with a price that is just right?
@sheilaanderson9129 күн бұрын
Love the shop! Can't wait to see it finished. I was thinking of you the other day and I had a suggestion to give you. You may already do it but in case you don't, I thought I'd share it. The jelly jar arrangements that you make, have you considered offering a credit to people who return the empty jars when they are finished? Not sure if you get a lot of local people or those just passing through? I was thinking that you could offer a $.50 discount on a future arrangement for every jar they return, up to a certain amount, like $2.00. I thought it might help keep your costs down from buying new jars often. I hope that makes sense. Take care!

I have had trouble with snaps AFTER germinating --I may have an issue with the seed starting mix. Perhaps too moist when I start. Do you find that after germinating your cells stay moist forever? Do you water only from the bottom?
@SunshineFlora5 күн бұрын
They will dry out so I keep a close eye and bottom water. Pour any extra water out of the bottom tray after 15 minutes so the soil doesn’t get too saturated
