That thing drove on the nürburgring and it smashed thru there. So whats a sports car then ?
@BaconNationChannel29 күн бұрын
Remember guys, this car was made to be a GT car, not a track car. It can be one but it's going to cost you. It does what it does best and that is drive long distances comfortably with power. It's unique in the sense that it is a 4 door with more space than your average Karen mobile. For a big car (faily long and over 4k lbs) it is rather agile and has more than enough power to move it.
@clutch1141Ай бұрын
I think the thing you have to keep in mind when talking about, or criticizing the stinger is the price. What you get for the price is what makes it a great car. You could easily spend almost twice the money to get a car that is undeniably nicer and faster, but not by much and certainly not enough to justify another plus 20k-40k. If budget is at all a concern and you can live with having a kia badge on your car its damn hard to beat the stinger with anything in its class for the money. Thats why I bought one and why I'm still more than happy with it plus it just looks sexy as hell

damn with some fast shifting you would be in the low 4s! Idk if you have already, but you should check out frankenstein motorworks, this guy has been making some real good numbers out of the 2gr. Also, I saw you only dynoed 280whp, I would assume with your mods you would dyno much higher as I've been seeing the IS350 guys hit over 300whp. Maybe because you had an lsd it increases the drivetrain loss slightly? Great build regardless :)

I don't think you know what you want in a car! For 50,000 the stinger has great value and features! I've had a 19 gt2 and just purchased a 23 gt2. Trade the car and get an suv or van sounds more like your style!

Man, I remember coming across your 2GR swap videos awhile back. I bought a 2009 lx at the height of fake 🦠 prices and have a bit of buyers remorse on the one I ended up with. I also purchased mine thinking I would be doing a Tampa to SW Texas trip annually but my family sold the property and that’s a no go (although I did get to experience Big Bend for one day). I have a lot of cosmetic damage from the prior owner, some rust from them living in Massachusetts, and I’ve had to change water pump, idler pulley, serpentine, starter (one of the hardest jobs I’ve ever done) and my radiator/alternator/valley plate have not been done so it’s only a matter of time. They are killer vehicles and are pretty much the penultimate road tripper/off roader I just wish I was more patient when purchasing and held out for a better example. 😢

I own a 2016 Lx570 and those cars are extremely popular where I live which is Saudi Arabia. Spare parts are relatively cheap and easy to work on. I have used mine in an extreme off road conditions in the desert for 8 years now and yet interior is as new and 0 mechanical problems . Maybe the only downside i could think of is that the infotainment system is outdated.

I got a 2013 LX 570 and it's been the most capable luxury SUV you can take to the trail and off roading without any worries. I have driven it about 50k miles and all I did was the radiator and valley peak coolant leak, I've never been stranded with this truck, and it handles extreme off roading like a dream. I currently have 173k and it's still run like new and it's impressive for a vehicle this age.

Any issues with the ahc so far ? Common issues ?
@salegado712 ай бұрын
@@chadmoon5228 I have not have any issues with the AHC , I have it checked yearly to make sure the fluid is in good condition. It will be expensive to replace the Globes according to my mechanic but it is a very good system and as long as you change the fluid it’s a very reliable system. I’m going 200k mile range already and it has not give me any problems yet. Be aware that this 5.7 liter is notorious to have Valley Peak coolant leak and I have mine done , the work to replaced the gasket is around $850 and I also replaced the radiator because it has a pinhole leak . Other than that it’s been solid and this is my daily driver and adventure truck.

The stinger looks big until you look at it side by side with other cars, it feels big because it's heavy.
@MrROTD8 ай бұрын
I went from a Forte KOUP R to this car, it's not as sporty as as the KOUP, it's much heavier than the KOUP, the KOUP has much sharper handling. The Stinger is a great car for long trips I drove for 8 hours no problem .It's flashy, its fast , its comfortable, it's a GT car. I'm actually thinking about how I can lower the weight of my Stinger it would be better and to be honest I miss My KOUP R because it was lighter and more agile.

Just be aware that the different tyres almost certainly wouldn't have the same speed rating as the original tyres. All good as long as you don't get out on the highway and try to find out it's max speed. I've still got the original 18" wheels on my 2008 LX, but changed out the tyres to BF Goodrich A/T's. They've been great, but same issue with speed rating. It's actually a legal modification here in Australia provided the car is a proper 4WD with Low Range (despite our very strict rules compared to the US). I got around the poor MPG by having an EV for daily driving. Great combination of cars.

I have never been so torn about a review video. I agree with a lot of this and found it very informative, but you contradict yourself, even, many times, it seems. I think the whole Stinger ownership experience is kind of a love/hate thing though. The oil dipstick that is nearly impossible to read (due to the colour), the hatch rattle from day one, that that Kia pretends isn't a known issue, and the fact that you can't lift the windshield wiper blade high enough to clean the glass or clear snow (seemingly not an issue for you, as it looks warm there).. Still one of my favourite Singer review videos though, no disrespect meant. Appreciate the brake pad buildup info cuz mine shakes, and I just had them "serviced" to the tune of almost $300, so good to know.. I do love my car though. I can not imagine ever parting with it, in spite of it's short comings. There simply is nothing else like it, for better or worse..
@xtnuser53389 ай бұрын
My guess about the road noise: I suspect that the designers are constrained by certain targets of performance, gas mileage, etc....and these constraints, within a certain target price bracket, require a target weight also. I suspect sound deadening efforts are one of the first things to sacrifice in the effort to meet that weight target. I have eight cars, but I always like to make sure one of them is in this category. A "sporty-ish" daily sedan. My current choice is an Audi RS3, but I think the Stinger gives you a lot of car for its price point, and if I were on a bit tighter budget, it would have been a strong contender.
@xtnuser53389 ай бұрын
I don't care about Lexus at all, but it's always nice for me to watch a video with somebody actually testing something. Even if it's just a seat of the pants, informal test...I like it. I tire of hearing marketing fluff without any data actually backing it up. Good job.
