Always fascinating to see Tony 'at work'. I'm always amazed at his color choices! Gorgeous!!!

Thanks for posting. This would have been better if you had spent more time looking at the paintings than the speaker. Best cast scenario, you would insert a photo for us to look at while he spoke about them.

Hi Angela! Appreciate your input and thank you for watching . Our volunteers spent a lot of time on producing this video. There are also some space restrictions in the live environment. We would need more time and labor to produce the video with “best case scenario” . Always looking for volunteers with video editing skills. I hope you can put a video in a background and open the exhibition on IAPS website and find the images or get the exhibition catalog “The Globe” in print.

I have watched this several times. The people constantly talking, and not giving Tony Allain full attention are missing out and shockingly rude. Having such a kind and gracious artist as Tony Allain in their presence, they should be respectful. He created another masterpiece in light of the rude audience. Happy for the video but the childish behavior of audience was distracting.

I work in pastels now, after 15 years using oil paints. In terms of health and inconvenience, pastels aren’t an improvement over oils. Solvents: I never used turpentine! Only odorless mineral spirits. And even then, only as an ingredient in my medium…which I kept in a plastic squeeze bottle. To clean paint from brushes, palettes or anything else, I used dishwashing liquid, specifically Dawn brand. That soap is formulated to dissolve grease and oils. Dawn does that best! My brushes remained like new for years. Pastel dust is more of a health hazard once you eliminate solvents.
