Awesome video, I appreciated the graphic explaining how to properly lay the conduit. One note: when you use graphics like that (or anything someone may want to pause & read), you should leave them up a tad bit longer.

Don’t feel the need to push out so many videos. Some of them are put together very well, and are very watchable. Others aren’t. I suggest taking more time to plan, edit, and whatever else.

@@macscutI’d be happy to. I found your channel from the first part of the garage fire, and I thought that one was good. You were narrating the process, there was a story to follow, it was engaging. Some of your later parts were like this too, the only difference being they felt drawn out. I don’t want to watch an entire video on a small part of the process. This one is just an assembly of clips without any music, narrating, to be honest I don’t know what’s going on. It feels as though your just putting out videos to put the out, as opposed to putting them out for people to watch.

I hope your coverage limits were high enough to cover your losses! It looks like you had a lot of stuff in there. My neighbors went through something like this three christmases ago. They let their twin boys (10 & 11) spend the night in their detached three-stall garage, and one of the boys knocked over a small propane heater. The entire structure went up in less than 10 minutes... The Fire department was kind enough to send 5 trucks. It was wild! Unfortunately, their insurance company wouldn't cover anything because the kids were left unattended. (Said company covered my siding and roof damage from the fire, though). The neighbors ended up bulldozing what remained, and put a couple of those gaudy canvas tents on the slab. I don't know what was more upsetting to see: the way the insurance company jerked them around, or those tacky tents I'm forced to look at every time I pull into my own driveway... I hope your experience was better that theirs!
@MasonLenzAFАй бұрын
That's cool! Are the mats meant to be used like that, or did you come up on the idea on your own? I wonder what else you could use them for? Are they the same as the things on the floor in your new garage?

Yes Mason those are the same mats that are in my garage and boy are they nice to walk, stand, and kneel on.

So sorry you had to go through this. What was the official cause of the fire? Did it start in your dust collection?
@macscutАй бұрын
It was for sure the dust collector but where the question still remains is regarding the ignition source. Once it was going the fan sure did feed it oxygen. Id didn't take long for it to be roaring.
@FlyingspyderАй бұрын
Ive seen smoke while cutting on my cnc, so I can well imagine it could ignite with a dull bit and low humidity. I dont use a dust collector, and am wondering why yours was in the attic/overhead. Doesn't that make it hard to empty?

Do you have space to put the dust collector outside or something so it doesn't start another fire? If that isn't an option, what are you doing to prevent another fire? I couldn't imagine you'd want to do that again 😢
