Good to see that drones have retained some personality. Hopefully, some species can be freed in the wake of the OU capitulation and can rebuild their cultures.

I absolutely love the chapters that focus on plot building and not just pure action, this author is extremely good at painting a picture, I absolutely love chapters like these. Some of the best chapters from this book haven't been focused on action but have been focused on interactions like that we've seen in the last few chapters. I hope we get a lot more time with our new Ambassador friend and can't wait to see how he builds the prime characters.

I love the Human AI in this story. Their history and personalities just have you eagerly waiting for the next time one pops up in a scene.

Holy smokes. Ok thats a grim way to end and an interesting way to set the next arc of the tale. Yikes. Seems like the Omni Union has a ton of oppressed people that if they were coordinated properly could end the Omni Union. Now who could coordinate such people effectively? Ok, so if these fanatical idiots have so badly prioritized things it makes sense they are not that much farther ahead of the United Systems and their allies. So no overly powerful to the point of not a chance, and with the vulnerability of these "drones" ready to be turned against the omni union I can see how it can go. It will be a terrifying war, and the distance is mindboggling. Unless there is some weird shortcut. I can't wait to know what the heck is the grand vessel supposed to do, or travel to. Or maybe its just never meant to do anything else other than be built in perpetuity.
