I bought the Rebel T6 at a pawnshop and was having buyers remorse. I didn’t know what the hell I was doing, but it looked clean and appealing and so now I have to buy lenses and deal with the audio jack situation. 200 cash versus the problems and potential solutions. I’m dealing with Wright right now. Great video thank you for your help.

Small. Lightweight. Inexpensive body but closer to $400 now a days. Beautiful image quality photos and video. Very good quality choice of M43 lenses that are also small and lightweight. I love the L monochrome B&W jpeg files. The biggest problem I have with the GX85 is the lack of a microphone jac. With all the video features this body has packed into it this was a big omission. This is a photography centric body so the tilt screen is the right choice. All small body cameras have small batteries. The good news is extra Wasabi batteries are inexpensive and lightweight. LUMIX discontinued the GX body line. That is so sad. I purchased a 2nd GX85 as a backup body. I have recommended this camera with my wallet. This is a powerful street photography, travel, and EDC camera. Mask On Nurse Marty (Ret)

When I take pictures and I load it to view it says busy please wait for about 1-2 mins . Should I be concerned?

right there with ya m8, i keep *all of my footage as well. some of my buddies move on from it, but i just can't do it lolol. seeing this is an older video, curious how the QNAP has treated you long-term? wonder if there's been any deal-breaker moments with it, or catastrophic failures. The array itself seems like a good value. My primary editing array is an 8-bay Thunderbolt RAID; it's been absolutely great, but not loving the backup process of it using single large drives and looking to streamline the backup of it. Like you, using backblaze as well, but in the event of a massive failure, don't love the idea of retrieving 100tb+ from them. thanks!

We actually moved our workflow over to dropbox when their enterprise still included unlimited. It wasn't too hard to link Dropbox to an external drive as its "home" folder. Since then, dropbox has done away with unlimited and that has become cost prohibitive. We have a Thunderbay 8 as well now. I still use the QNAP for personal stuff and the drives from this video are still running and appear healthy. Though I am not regularly pulling from it as I once was. It does stay somewhat active. I wish I had a better solution. We have since done away w Backblaze and moved to the raid / dropbox workflow. And then for projects over 3 years that we want to keep (stuff beyond the typical dayrate dump footage stuff) we moved to LTO as a long term solution. The LTO reader is expensive, and you have to buy the software, but then the tapes are only like 100 bucks a pop after that for around 18TB. its slow, but its secure and we feel good about that for now. Usually if its over 3 years and not super important its depreciated in value anyway and rare a client wants to pull from it in our cases. hope that helps.

Slow focus is the thing that stops me from using my 20mm. I have the 25 but I find myself using the 12-32 most. Really liked your video!

We have used this camera for nearly seven years to record town meetings and special events and have not taken the time to study ways to improve quality but it bothers me often, especially when videoing a special event. I am so grateful to see this video and have now subscribed to your channel. I should have known, these cameras are like little computer devices in themselves and need to be "learned" like anything else.

Please turn off the background music. Use a pencil end or something similar to point to the camera buttons or menu items instead of your finger. Point the camera to the video recorder instead to yourself.

Maybe check the SD card and see if its old, small, or slow. The buffer might be filling up on the camera causing it to kick you out.

Great video. One question:. When I go back to look at the photos on the camera (using display) alongside each photo there are two graphs (one in color and one in black and white). Any way to delete these? When I first used the camera they didn't appear, but I think I accidentally pushed something that caused these "graphs" to appear

i noticed the last comment was almost 2 years ago, i am new to this camera, yes i know it probably old, but i am having trouble with the focus, any time i try to take an up close photo it will not focus properly. i am not sure on the setting and how to get it to the orginal factory so i can start fresh

On my T7 no matter what I do it won't let me autofocus and when I try to press the shutter button to auto focus it does nothing but tell me I can't take photos in video mode. I have all the settings at a point where it should work, but no matter what I do this happens every time. I am wanting to start vlogging when I go on vacation in a few weeks, do you think there is any way to fix this or should I just buy a camera better suited for vlogging?

I’d take a look at the lens and make sure it is in the AF position first. If that doesn’t work then there’s something turned off preventing af from working at all. Take some time to dive through the menus. Good luck!

For video, there is no comparison. 20mm is way too slow for focus.
