We have used this camera for nearly seven years to record town meetings and special events and have not taken the time to study ways to improve quality but it bothers me often, especially when videoing a special event. I am so grateful to see this video and have now subscribed to your channel. I should have known, these cameras are like little computer devices in themselves and need to be "learned" like anything else.

You can definitely send RAW files to your phone with the wifi, just FYI. I do it all the time and the edit in Lightroom on my phone.

I have a tip if you're planning on doing video with the T6: in the custom functions, set the "raise flash"-button to set your iso, the reason being, whenever the mirror is up, the dedicated iso button moves the box around that turns green when you're in focus. Accessing the iso tap via quick menu is possible, but annoying.

I panicked at first because after making the changes you suggested nothing worked right... lots of noise and stuff but no photos. Then I discovered the problem. I forgot to take the damn lens cap off. It worked great after that! Thank you very much. I did have to rewatch the video here and there and slow it down to 3/4 speed but your settings seem to work just fine. Thanks again...

So Talented! Wish I'd found you years ago when I first got my camera. Read the book, but it's honestly like Greek if you don't know what you're doing, and I don't. Went to a camera class hoping to learn more about the camera and how to take great shots but found it a waste of money since all they did was show us how to turn it on, point and click the picture.

Try using a different lense, I still use this camera and use a 50mm f1.8 lense with it and it works fine. Also play with your aperture till you figure it out.

This camera does not have great Auto Focus, you can switch it on but it is very slow and I wouldn't recommend it. For best performance, you're going to want to use manual focus.

Hey, this is a dumb question but I was wondering if it's possible to manually select focus points for the T6. I know you have the diamond grid of 9 focus points, but I don't see a way to set which one(s). I know you can switch it to manual focus and set the DoF and focus area, but I'd want to retain autofocusing DoF and be able to choose the focusing area.

Heziee nope, it doesn’t have auto focus or flip scene. Try 7i I recommend save up and get something better for video I’d say Sony.
